Petroleum jelly DOES cause a rash on my skin and makes me itch like you would not believe. Found out the hard way when following the discharge and wound care instructions from the ER after they stitched the gash in my arm from a broken water bottle.
As for the paper tape …. I cannot use that tape, it too causes a rash and, moreover, it rips the top layer of skin off me when being removed and leaves an additional open wound that I have to tend to and nurse while it is healing.

People, just use what works for you! If you like hydrogen peroxide, petroleum jelly, neosporin, or band-aids, just continue using them. There is a dermatologist on YouTube and he hawks skin creams after telling you I’m previous videos not to use them. It’s all about views and money

I use neosporin all the time and have been most of my life, works just fine. I also use regular band-aids, again they work just fine. Stop being so dramatic about everything.

Guess depends on wounds. But when I get spider bites or flea bites (I live near woods and field) peroxide is the #1 thing I use to heal and get sting out.

Petroleum causes cancer. Use manuka honey it may be sticky, but it’s not created in a toxic lab! Plus, the anti microbial properties in honey protect and prevent infection. Also, castor oil! So much better than mederma! When in doubt, go natural! Not made in a lab.

Thank you so much for this post!!! I found it to be very educational. I was about to buy adhesive bandages and now I know not to. ❤😊
