I reversed diabetes by eating a high carb low fat plant based diet because, as it was demonstrated 100 years ago by Himsworth, dietary fat causes diabetes not sugar.

Then how can I keep sugar down as a type 2 diabetic if I don't use insulin? Also even at a fasted state sugar is high.

I never liked fasting. It never felt natural to me. Forcing yourself past hunger bc it's the "only way your body heals itself " sounded like a load of 💩.
It wasn't until I understood ketosis and low carb ad how it affects the body that I got why they thought that.

I love it when you explain things Dr Anthony ❤ you are educational and relaxing to listen to 🙏

Thanks for all you do dr Chaffee. Just FYI, the music is distracting. I struggled to focus on what you say.

The carnivore diet seemed mad to me. I’m a type 1 diabetic of 35 years and thought that my sugars would drop severely if I stopped eating them. They balanced things out. Cue a few months in and I’ve actually stopped hypos as I’m not sugar crashing, my pump has adapted to there being no carb and insulin fluctuations and I’ve gone from. 11% in my target range to 100%

Just amazed me after so many years of battling

When you stop eating you are going on the carnivore diet because you start eating yourself.

Well said Anthony, thank you! People are pretending like insulin is the problem – while insulin secretion is under the control of your genes. Carbohydrates are the actual bad guy here, and I’m staying faaar away from them.

Ugh, eat toxic food and use unhealthy meds to keep them from hurting you!!! Duh – Am Diabetes Association!

So even artificially sweetened beverages and foods…. Raise insulin and therefore prevent autophagy?
