I was taught too do the samething !
I judge you. Reasonable.
Ok thanks great tip.
Rex always dropping golden beads of knowledge.
you ever use your shavers to make shaved ice ?
Aaaaaahhhhh !!! A gap!!! The horror!!!!
I appreciate that you study historical practice; it’s practical. I love “what works.”
Dont know why but I always question my sanity when you show up on reels
I eliminated all the joints from my projects by simply carving the entire piece out of one giant chunk of wood.
Alright since you start posting actual woodwork tips, you lost me. i do not understand this since Its technical 😭
I admire your work immensely and hope to one day be half as good at wood working as you are. Thank you for all you teach, my progress wouldn't be near what it has without your guidance.
Why do you have to stare into our souls? Scary!
Im guessing the gap helps incase of wood swelling
Pick a fight. I’ll back ya. Im huge 😂
I assume this is because the gap looks better when you cant see it? Gaps may be unavoidable in some cases i suppose
That's where the glue goes
Dude, an overwhelming majority of your videos sound like responses to hate comments / messages, and in a huge majority of those videos, you even admit that that's exactly what they are – responses to haters. But why do you care so much about what a bunch of lowly haters are saying about you? Seems wasteful.
I do this when I mess up work as well. Feature not a bug.
Woodworking, nah. Woodmachining 👍
Thank you for telling us the trick.
Ive seen that kind of gap before and I always assumed it was a very slight error.i never knew ut was done on purpose
This court finds you guilty of woodworking malpractice
This works if there is a front and a back. Not all mortise and tenon joints have this.
I apprentice as a furniture maker and I'm frequently told that things don't matter if it can't be seen. I've repaired stuff where there are still pencil marks left in unseen places. Turned over an old chair and saw pencil marks and various numbers under the seat still there from when the chair was made.
Awesome advice! Im trying to learn old-school techniques to build furniture, and this is pure gold. Thank you very much
Wow, this would have been really helpful when I was still in school doing my cabinetmake practicum.
Juuuuuuudge!!!Juuuuudge!!!!!
Does it look good? Yes
Does it work? Yes
Do I have to care about anything else? No
