The food coloring isnt weird, and in fact looks like you used less than the average neon orange thai iced tea youd buy in a shop.

This is the definition of not traditional biggest Thai tea number one in Orange there is a tea called Thai tea that you make like regular tea and then you just add milk or half and half to it and you consume it over ice and if you want to Sweet add as much sugar at you want
