  1. Bought mine a few years back. By far the most rigid and uncomfortable boot I ever had. Only positive is they make you like 4cm taller.

  2. Something else worth mentioning about Tim's is you don't need to buy them new I bought a couple of vintage ones at least 10 to 15 years, near mint made in Bangladesh fully leather lined for less than 50 bucks. Timberlands have a coded number that dates them as well as other info.

  3. I've never seen anyone wear these as a work boot but they do work well in northern climates for inclement weather. Waterproof, moderate warmth and traction, not too bulky or heavy so driving isn't impaired too much, stylish enough to wear indoors and out, little to moderate care needed.

  4. I wonder, with modern recycling technology, could you make an improved version of Kirza?

  5. Great review, as usual. Funny you mentioned the editing: as I was watching I was thinking how well edited it was. Do you do this in-house?

  6. what i like aobut these tims and why i got a pair is because 1 their water prove 2 good traction when its cold outside and their the only boot i had thats really warm blundstones got me chill blains even their so called winterboots the tims kept them nice and toasty and no sores

  7. I had a pair of timbs for looks for nearly 4 years.

When I quit my job of nearly 4 years, I thrown out my work boots bc I wanted nothing to do with that job that would make me think of it.

Then I started working at a feed yard for a brief month and had no work boots or money. I resorted to using my timbs.

They've held up better than must $200 boots I've used in the past. I expected them to quit and fall apart on me BC of the hell I put them through.

I quit that job first. I still want a new pair to make up for lost time. And yes the job I'm currently at is better, been there for a year and ½ with work boots provided.

  8. Hello, Mr. Anvill. Would you please talk about gusseted/bellows tongues? I have seen a lot of artisanal mexican boots that have them and they never seem to get them right, so I'd love to know how a well made gusseted tongue works

  9. Tims were always my go to boot for around 13-14 years, the quality and durability was pretty up until the mid 2000’s, first thing to go was always the heel counter, I debated getting a pair of the American Craft line but ultimately I’m going to stick with my 877s!

  10. i have that exact pair but in black and have had them for 3 years now , the part u said in the heel on the inner part that wouldnt wear out, it did in a year so there is now duct tape in them, but they are actually really comfy

  11. wore those through the 80s. not particularly comfortable but adequate. definitely waterproof, allowing me to impress guys in russia by standing in ice water to demonstrate superior american resolve. i don't remember wearing them in the 90s and can't recall what happened to them. liked them overall and wish i still had them

  12. I know this is nitpicking, but Im fairly certain the LWG does ESG analysis, the G standing for 'governance' not 'government', meaning they track how well the company is run from a management perspective – things like whether the CEO is compensated in a sensible way, if there is sufficient diversity on the boards of directors etc.

    Anyhow great vid as always.
