Tough Design Dilemma for Neglected Bucktown Home | Windy City Rehab | HGTV

Alison Victoria wants to give a neglected Bucktown home an upscale, English-style makeover. However, she faces a tough financial decision when a potential buyer makes a full-price offer that requires her to change the entire design.

Interior designer Alison Victoria combines upscale design with a passion for her hometown as she buys and restores old homes in Chicago. For these neglected homes in historic neighborhoods, she works to restore dignity to the homes while adding more square footage, style and modern twists. But each house has a past, and she never knows what challenges lie hidden beneath the decades of paint and plaster. #HGTV #WindyCityRehab #AlisonVictoria

  1. What a weird ass house. It turned out amazing. I LOVE the entrance. The door is beautiful, as is the frame.

  2. The brick, gold paint on the trim, and the doors are disharmonious colorwise. Interior was odd. Should have kept the entry, as the people in the chairs with their backs to the door are in for a rude shock when cold Chicago weather blows in.
    Bathroom is improved.

The old garage had interesting siding.

  3. Thank you so much for your videos! I had a misfortune, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I also created a channel and am trying to move in that direction, but so far not very successful((vd

  4. Depois do que o Donavan fez com a Alison, não consigo ver mais a cara dele!

  5. WOW ALLISON!!!! I LOVE IT!!!! TOTALLY AWESOME TRANSFORMATION!!!! THAT IS YOUR BEST PROJECT SO FAR!!! I LOVE EVERYTHING!!!! PLEASE CONTINUE TO SHARE YOUR GIFT WITH THE WORLD!!! I LOVE THE WINDY CITY AS WELL. ROUTE 66 STARTS THERE.

  6. Beautiful job!!! That front door is AMAZING… however I have noticed you never show the complete house meaning the upstairs and bathrooms and bedrooms in your videos????

  7. That's crazy: they could have just torn down the house and built a new one.
Before it was a lovely little town house with alot of real old character, now it looks swanky from outside and nice inside. But all the charme is kinda fake…
I would have gently renovated the little house for 150t and sold it to a lovely little family.

  8. Those doors are ugly, gaudy, tacky. They open outward, but there’s no kind of awning at all, so they’re going to get wet and weathered. They’re also ridiculously, cartoonishly large. It was such a quaint, unassuming house before. Now it’s a pretentious pile of bricks. Sad.

  9. The facade looks like a bank in a cowboy movie. Not ATTRACTIVE at all.
