Turning Our Home Into A Fortress- Fort Knox Vault Door Install #sponsored @Fort-Knox-Inc

It’s always been a dream of mine to have a vault door in my house; so we finally did it- we ordered a Fort Knox vault door. @Fort-Knox-Inc

Now these doors are heavy. The install crew brought a mobile hoist that they had designed and fabricated themselves.
Once the vault door was uncrated, they used the hoist to stand it up vertically.
Then they used two carts with hydraulic jacks to roll it into position.
Everything about this door is heavy duty, even the way it was packaged.
The vault door is bolted into place with a right, left, and top clamp frame.
There are also four adjustment bolts used to make the door plumb.
The black chrome hardware we ordered for this door was absolutely beautiful.
Fort Knox has a ton of options available. We chose a distressed finished with rivets, and a crane hinge.
This door has a five-to-one gear drive that’s smooth as butter, you can open it with one finger.
There’s 24 locking bolts, including 4-star corner bolts.
Let me know in the comments- what would you keep in your vault? @hausplans

Clearly you have WAY TOO MUCH extra cash just laying around to buy a vault door! So maybe you actually need it! 🤣🤣

    Fort Knox:
The company that freely gave the ATF the backup combos for all their safes. Basically giving away the kryptographic key to thugs

Unless it’s keeping a solid room safe if just fabricate a faux looking one. What’s the point of the thing is put in a normal wall

Crazy. All that money for a vault door the concrete can be broken into w a sledge hammer in 15 minutes.

The door looks awesome but if the problem is security…. the…. the wooden walls might be a problem

Got to have a panic room but its not just about the door.. Got to have a generator and proper ventilation.. plumbing.
