Ultra Affordable DIY Tiny Home is Music To My Ears!

This is a tiny house story which is close to my heart, largely because Chris’ journey into tiny house living closely mirrors my own. The amazing tiny home that he has constructed has given this talented musician a wonderful roof over his head which allows him to now focus his time on creating his music.

Music is more than just a job for Chris. It’s a passion and a calling in life. But as many artists will testify, it’s not always the most reliable way of making money and getting materially ahead in life.

Thankfully, this hard-working and creative soul thought outside the box, picked up a hammer and set about constructing his own tiny house. Built ultra affordably using predominantly reclaimed materials, Chris was able to put a secure roof over his head for an astoundingly low figure.

Now with his home complete and parked up in a great spot where he able to grow lots of his own food and live affordably, Chris can now focus his attention towards creating his music without the pressure of finding rent each week.

We hope you enjoy the full tour of this amazing tiny house. To follow Chris and his musical tiny house adventures, you can find him across all social media here: https://linktr.ee/carouseofficial

  1. Chris’ story reminds me so much of my own journey into tiny house living. That he constructed this home entirely himself and from reclaimed materials makes it even better! – If you enjoy our videos and would like to support this channel, you can find us on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/livingbig – With Love, Bryce & Rasa

  2. What a beautiful, cozy home and such a great set-up with the solar panels and growing his own veggies. It's good to see someone who has spent a couple years in their home to, in order to see how they really feel about living there after a decent amount of time. Plus, it is so nice to see a tiny home that was built at a low cost, like they were originally meant to be.

  3. The rich stay rich by spending like the poor and investing without hesitating then the poor stay poor by spending like the rich yet not investing like the rich

  4. Chris and his house are both delightful! What a charming interview and tour. 🙂 <3

  5. Well… Is it a little dog or cat? I saw a custom pet entrance and pet bowls with what seemed to be kibble in them!

  6. Perfect home. I understand what you mean about the fairy lights. Lol. I did that in my bedroom and they look bare in the daytime all over the place. I bought faux greenery in long string design: a garland. So I bought a few rolls of it. Very cheap on some websites, without lights and wrapped them around the strings of fairy lights. It hides the bareness in the day and doesn’t detract from the lights at night. Thanks again for your wonderful home tour! I would build something similar if I could. First tiny home I loved every single feature! Kudos!

  7. i love this guy and his home! The tiny house that originally inspired him is one of my all-time favorites, and I can see where he's used some of those great ideas, too. His entire home, and everything on the grounds, is just absolutely wonderful! I'm happy for him, and I wish him the best. ????

  8. Chris is so creative and sympathetic, a beautiful human being in a stunning space and place. Thank you for sharing!

  9. What an inspirational guy! Sometimes I feel like the tiny house movement has gotten too far away from its roots of simplicity, minimal footprint on the earth and self-sufficiency with the "mega" tiny houses and the super-luxury tiny houses…
Chris' accomplishments in building his lovely space with his own hands and brain and creativity (as he so aptly said) reminds us that the foundational values of tiny house living still exist — and so successfully, too!

  10. Love this cozy space! I think that is the dream for a lot of us: to build a tiny home from reclaimed materials crafted into wonderful furnishings. Also, love that last shot of the little house & green house glowing light in the night.

  11. Thats one of my favorite ones. Especially since he built that himself. I was pretty blown away when I saw you walked in. I’d like to see some tiny house people who get interested in fresh air ventilation and air quality monitoring. Tiny homes can be especially dangerous because pollutants peak quickly. Usually opening a window a crack can work also.

  12. Living the ordinary life in an extraordinary way. Artists are lovely people. Loving it.❤

  13. brilliant c. we need passive housing, renewable energy for everybody on earth. the way forward we need to have some new leadership, global non-proper leadership and truth. so keep up the good work

  14. Far out what a great build for someone that has had no experience. He is very creative.

  15. This is a wonderful story of Chris' talent, hard work and the generous support of the landowner where Chris is parked.

  16. Wow what an incredible achievement, well done, and what a wonderful home. It looks like one of those homes every time you walk in, it’s like getting a huge warm huggle. Wishing you every success in your music career, and enjoy every minute living in your gorgeous home. ❤️????????????????????????????❤️
