She was hella surprised when i was eas excited to be handed a bundle of carrots and celery 😂

Capitalism hasn’t ruined anything people did everyone has to prove they’re so rich when they have 100k in student loans, 30k in credit card debt, a 80k car loan they can’t afford, spending their tax return on tattoos, buying the new iPhone every time it comes out for no reason other then to have the new thing, they gotta have 15 pairs of Jordon’s and buy $150 t shirts and overpriced jewelry with labgrown diamonds that worthless when you resell them they’ll pay 2500 for a silver necklace with lab grown diamonds that’s worth $150 and get mad at the govt when they’re broke and blame capitalism no it’s not the free markets fault it’s yours, and what’s the alternative to capitalism it’s communism and no thank you.
Remember not to conflate an economic theory with the actions ot man. Man is flawed and will impart those flaws on systems they operate and control. Aspects of life are corrupted by the imperfect actions of humans separate from the function of the systems we utilize.

A little history for you. Valentines has always been a consumer holiday. It was created by greeting card companies because there was a lull in sales between Christmas and Easter. So it was always a capitalistic holiday. And what I mean is Valentines as we know it. It was a folk holiday, but as a national phenomenon it was pushed to the forefront by greeting card companies as the secular holiday.
