  1. because birkenstock as of 2021 is owned by LVMH, the owner of luis vutton, dior, givenchy, etc. So now the german company that took their products off amazon to ensure quality, is now on its way to be just another cash ho. the good news is you can still get the sandals (not from amazon) with the real footbed before they become extinct.

  2. Not sure why anyone is surprised that a company is cutting corners/quality for money. The idea of making a quality product with the expectations of people wanting to pay the extra money for it is a thing of the past. Now it's all about least amount of effort/expense for the maximum amount of profit. Even the companies that do make quality products nowadays charge outrageous amounts of money for their products.

  3. Very cool video, I remember being interested in their sneakers with the visible cork midsole so it's nice to know the truth. An interesting topic you could visit is Postal Certified shoes, they've got some relatively big names making overpriced junk. There is Rocky, Thorogood, Rockport and Reebok to name a few. Red Wing still offers some Postal Certified oxfords but they're not mainstream enough to be kept around much longer seeing that they discontinued their chukka and 6 inch boot models.

  4. I have a pair of QS700 They are steel toe work boots from Birkenstock. You can only get them in Europe, U.S. Birkenstock Company will not bring to U.S., tried for years. Finally found some sellers in Germany that sell online and ship to U.S.- I like them and they are holding up nicely coming up on a year of use. I can never wear heeled boots/ shoes again once going barefoot for years and finally finding a pair of Barefoot Steel Toe work boots, these are literally the best option I have found in the WORLD. If you can get a pair (like seeing bigfoot) I would like to see a cut away and your professional assessment. I had to switch between all my barefoot shoes and Non barefoot boots for construction for the past 2 years until getting these boots. They have saved my body big time. I put on my Redwings Irish setters (hunting/ not steel toe) wore them for a day, and they destroyed my back. On commercial construction sites in U.S. steel toes are required, and now that I can go barefoot no matter what I'm doing, it IS a complete game changer! Love your channel! GOD bless.

  5. I have 2 pairs of the Bend Lows and they seem to be of similar construction as the oswego for anyone curious. I've been wearing them a few times a week since last summer and they are the most comfortable shoe I own, in a hard soled birkenstock kind of way, dont expect s squishy newbalance or nike feel.

  6. I have the Birkenstock bend low the heal material is suede, but the heel rubs against the suede and you get pretty painful shoes for 150$

  7. Gutted. Saved up and paid full price for the QO500 literally hours before this video landed. Trusted in the brand so was happy to buy online. Wore them to my work in a hospital and now can't return. Painful lesson.

  8. Even though I am very disappointed with Birkenstocks quality, I have yet to find shoes the fit my wide forefoot and don’t cause pain for me as a CRPS sufferer. I would love to go with another brand the combined their level of comfort and style with better construction, but I have yet to find one. Suggestions are always welcome!

  9. Hi great video again. Maybe someone has an old pair of Hennef Light laying around and would like to donate them to science ????, to look at the sawtooth cork midsole. I am very curious about the sole and whether it has remained intact.

  10. Dont get mint mobile, they use T-Mobiles networks but the worst version of it, their coverage maps arent accurate, I was estimated to get 5g where I live which never worked enough to load a webpage and the LTE isn't manually accessible really. I don't recommend them unless you really research how well they work in your location, word of mouth and all.

  11. I don't trust Mediterranean European country shoe brands. They sell for premium prices but are made of shit. Plenty of good stuff from the UK and Germany though. In fact the countries with the NON romantic languages is where you want to look. For some reason the romantic language countries are really ripping people off.

  12. Another great review, Rose Anvil. I might just buy that Oswego. I’m trying to get use to the Thursday’s Heritage Premiere low top shoe. They’re a little tight, cause man, that’s some thick leather! And they’re narrow.

  13. Thanks for the teardowns Weston. I was disappointed to see the materials in the QO500 work shoe aren't good. I was hoping to get myself a pair of Birkenstocks QS700 boots, as I like footwear with wide toe boxes and minimal drop. I may reconsider and just get something with an arch, but proven quality like a Red Wing work boot.

I have an idea for a monthly theme, Safety & work boots/shoes. If it happens, please do the QS700 & Dewalt Plasma.

  14. I'm pretty sure my wife uses the bs5000. Yes, as a chef. I was always sceptical about the price, disappointed my ire should have been about the quality
