  1. That is one of the reason people (don't wanna) understand things like Rothko. Its not just red and brown out of the tube speared on a canvas. He used hundreds of layers of meticulously chosen colors.
    I get that its not everyones cup of tea but at least get the basics right lol

  4. We learned about this in my computer graphics class. We were learning about layer editing and our teacher told us about this method and the history of it. So cool how artists have been using similar methods for years.

  5. I just remember my art teacher giving us an assignment to paint like this, but she forgot to teach us about glazing.
    So we just painted over all our hard work and were mad at her for wasting our time 😂
