Will Structural Issues Derail This Modern Renovation? | Windy City Rehab | HGTV

A new project in the North Center neighborhood is an opportunity for Alison to get the business under control. But when it’s revealed the house has major structural issues, Alison races to get the project back on track.

Interior designer Alison Victoria combines upscale design with a passion for her hometown as she buys and restores old homes in Chicago. For these neglected homes in historic neighborhoods, she works to restore dignity to the homes while adding more square footage, style and modern twists. But each house has a past, and she never knows what challenges lie hidden beneath the decades of paint and plaster.

  1. I liked the before bathroom tiles, especially at 13:36, I thought that was the new bathroom and I got excited for the pale green glass-like tiles. Ugh.

  2. They're really gonna have to quickly get a handle on what the construction costs will be!

  3. Surprised to see this clip when your reveal episode on Discovery was so beautiful and so much fun.

  4. You might hate wind chimes but it seems they were using them as an alarm system. Very smart.

  5. Another beautiful house ruined by this show. I get it that there was rot and damage and that needed to be fixed, but she doesn’t even try to preserve the original character. Sad.

  6. your roots come from greece and you hate wind chimes? ????the end result lookes great and not to cold …elegant but cozy
