In the Philippines we call this machang which we can get from chinese/taiwanese restaurants and food stalls. There’s also another mexican version called tamales. Instead of sticky rice, we use ground rice or rice flour.
I think the pronunciation needs to b improved..

In Assam we have something like this from the Missing tribe called purang
As an indian it is heavenly. In north eastern india and north bengal we have kinda similar way of cooking with bamboo. Minaal rice dishes are one of them
