1. Crush cooked dried beans with masher, hands, or food processor.
2. Add oats and chopped onions.
3. Combine spices. Then add soy sauce and oil to spices.
4. Pour spice and soy sauce-oil mixture into bean mixture.
5. Combine well.
6. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
7. Spray cookie sheets with non-stick spray.
8. Form 21 hamburger bun-sized patties and place 7 on each cookie sheet.

3. Use a spatula when turning patty or lifting them so they have support in case they are prone to crumbling.

  6. I love your videos, but I've heard you say more than once that you leave the recipe in the "box down below". I've searched and cannot figure out where this is. I've viewed your videos on my phone and on a computer. I would love to be able to access a recipe, because right now, I have to watch the video and write the recipe down as you give it. Thanks, and I'm sure once you tell me where this box is, it'll probably seem obvious.

  7. With that burger I would add mozzarella cheese and instead of pickles I would prefer mustard.

  12. These look great, kind of like a Boca Burger. Maybe if you have some liquid smoke you could add a bit to give them that grilled burger taste too? Just a thought!

  13. I made these Black Bean Burgers for my vegetarian niece when she was in town to visit and she and I both loved them! They were delicious! If I had to do it again, I may cook the beans in a crock pot over night (instead of soaking) or just get canned beans to speed up the process. They held together perfectly and looked like a regular burger. I wish I could post my pics for you to see. πŸ™‚ Thanks for the inspiration!
