50-Minute Fettuccine Alfredo:

3 large eggs, beaten to blend
2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
1 splash olive oil
1 pinch salt

1. Mix flour, eggs, olive oil, and salt with a fork or a bench scraper.
2. Knead until smooth, roughly 10 minutes, or use a dough hook attachment in a stand mixer to knead until smooth.
3. Cover with plastic wrap and rest for 30 minutes at room temperature.
4. Cut into quarters, then roll out with a flour-dusted rolling pin.
5. Run through a pasta machine, starting at a 0 setting and incrementing up to a 6 or a 7 setting, cutting the sheet in half if the pasta gets long.
6. Switch to a fettuccine cutting attachment and run the pasta sheets through. Dust noodles with flour, twist into nests, and cover until ready to cook.

  3. I love how Alvin just steals all the hard working chefs food they make and cook????????????

  4. Made fresh pasta for the first time earlier this year. Hand kneading is not for the weak, it took me 18 minutes to get to a point where the dough bounced back but after that, I was pretty happy with the results!

  6. I know its been 2 years since this video was posted ???? but im just finding this video now. 1st minutes in im wondering about the seasoning with salt when the dish is basically finished. Was the pastawater not seasoned enough with salt? Since it not only should flavour the pasta, but also when you are using the water to finish the sauce.. right?

  7. $25 Pasta. First we drive to a restaurant and have a read of their menu (tip – don't forget your wallet)

  8. I'm so trying this 50 minute recipe. Stuff I already have on hand, so I don't have to go anyway, and it looks good. Although if I'm being realistic I know it won't be anywhere near as good as his was. Dude is a professional, I'm not even a home cook lol ????

  9. i loved how alvin pops up after every dish and tasting it….
