Summary:
Want to know what a silent heart attack is?
Most movies show a heart attack by someone clutching their chest real tight, gasping for breath, or blacking out.

But what actually causes silent heart attacks?
Your heart is fueled by oxygen-rich blood. Cholesterol-rich plaque starts collecting in your coronary arteries.

Do you want to hear some shocking statistics?
One person gets a heart attack every 40 seconds in the United States alone. But your heart is much more intelligent than you think.

Do you have persistent flu?
Herbal teas and hot steam inhalation at home might not fully help. Every one of us feels under the weather once in a while.

Have you been feeling bloated for a while?
When your heart is not able to pump enough blood there will be fluid accumulation in your hands, feet, and around the belly.

Are you sweating a lot these days?
Sweating is a great way to get rid of the toxins from your body. It’s your body’s natural response to physical exertion or too hot and humid climates.

There is also a reason why heartburn should never be ignored.
Having spiced sausages or sriracha meatballs for dinner can cause a burning sensation in your digestive tract. So much so that it causes discomfort in your chest.

You might have heard that pain during a heart attack radiates only to the left arm.
But that’s not always the case. Sometimes the pain may occur in the center of chest, the right hand, jaws, teeth, abdomen, and the back, too.

Moving along, feeling tired should never be dismissed as unimportant.
It could mean something less serious but the probability of a silent heart attack cannot be denied. This tiredness is much different than working through those extra hours at the office or running an extra mile on the treadmill.

  1. Tell ya what. If I have a heart attack and no matter what and die from it. This would be it if there was no saving me.

  2. SALT DOES NOT CAUSE ARTERIAL CLOTS!!! SUGAR DOES!!!

Salt, when introduced to water, breaks its bond into the two elements and is harmless in the bloodstream. Sugar, on the other hand, remains intact and passes directly into your bloodstream. As it passes through your vessels, the sharp edges of the sugar molecule cut the walls of your vessels which creates scars. Your body then MAKES CHOLESTEROL to coat these scars so they don't do damage to your blood cells as the pass. If you continue to eat too much sugar your body will scar and build up cholesterol enough to create a "plaque region" and will eventually start to cause blood clots.

Once you build up enough clots to the point where you have high blood pressure, too much salt in your diet can exacerbate the problem by causing your body to retain more water. Thus creating more pressure on the vessels with clots. Which, in turn, makes it harder on your heart to pump blood through your system.

These videos oversimplify the body's systems and misinform people about their health. It pisses me off.

  3. Happened to me while I was in the hospital. Only got caught once I was released and came back through er, I jad developed a type of pneumonia they said indicated a heart attack

  4. Thought I lost my mom as she seemed dead then she awoke. Diagnosed as syncope by the emergency physician. Actually quite dismissive like itโ€™s an everyday occurrence. Gave me some literature and sent her home that very night. The next week she had a massive attack and died.

  5. New studies show there is NO evidence cholestrol has ANYTHING to do with heart attacks.. that is BS– the rest is good– Oh- and SALT doesn't do it either..

  6. I had a heart attack on the 9th of Febuary 2023 so very recent & recieved 2 stents.
A couple of days before it I felt strange with some chest pains but ignored it.
2 days later I had a bad heart attack, a Main artery blocked.
3.5 hour OP & I was told I was very lucky to survive.
DO NOT IGNORE PERSISTANT CHEST PAIN
    I'm 56

  7. I saw a cardiologist about a year ago and had a holter monitor fitted that did not show anything untoward. I know I am prone to high blood pressure, and my cholesterol has been high. What worries me most is the frequency of excessive sweating, which could be a symptom of the body trying to dump excess fluid due to heart insufficiency or failure, but can I get a GP to take any notice? No I cannot.

  8. It might just be me, but this really didn't tell me much about symptoms. Pain is a very vague word to use.

  9. Had, my 1st at 13…now 62…they still don't give a f. k…wrote me off as dead…sorry, won't be there for that…peace

  11. I never saw this when you guys posted it. I wish they did more to let people (caregivers especially) know about this sort of heart attack. It looks like you guys posted this in June. I wish I had seen this.
My mom had one on and off or at least 12 hours in the 6th of July.
She had pneumonia and lung cancer at the time. She was on oxygen. Her only sign was the sweating, and she was having more trouble breathing.
    She was 75.
I begged her to let me call 911 when I kept having to adjust her oxygen levels. But our hospital is VERY bad, and they refuse to take anyone here to any other hospital. And other nearby hospitals are run by the same bad company. I was her caregiver and no one EVER told me about this. Finally, I got her to agree to let me call. And while I was on the phone with them, I was sitting on the bed beside her, she tapped me on the arm, and said she was sorry…. Then became unresponsive. The EMTS got there, they got her heart beating again. But it took too long, her brain was without oxygen for too long.

She was brain-dead. I waited from that day, on the 6th, till the 11th, to see if there would be any improvement. Sleeping in her ICU room, asking if they noticed any reaction from her brain or her heart when I entered or left the room… Nothing. By the 8th, I told her friends I would have the machines turned off if nothing changed. So I told them they had that weekend to visit.
One of them was 4 hours away, and she drove all that way just to sit with my mom for 2 hours.
On the 11th, there was no improvement, and more organs were threatening to shut down. When they turned off the machines, it was less than 10 minutes before she was gone completely.
I don't blame myself. She drilled it into me, that when she finally died, I was not to blame myself. She would be mad if did. I blame the medical system in the US and her insurance company for not informing people about these things. I had a person at the health insurance company who was my caregiver support, and no one ever informed me of this. Not her doctors, no one.
I'm still reeling. I was her caregiver, but she was also my emotional support because I have bad fear of people and PTSD. She was also one of my best friends.

Anyway – Sorry for getting too personal… I wanted you to know that you are helping to inform people of this issue, when the people who SHOULD are not.
Even though I am only seeing this now, and it is too late for my mom:
    Thank you.
In the future, this video might be helpful to others. Thank you.
