I was really surprised (and happy!) to see the explorer 2 coming down in price also. I like the white and black dial, so win win 😀

Hi Brittney, I was at my AD (Bucherer, who has the largest delivery & turnover of Rolex watches in CH) two days ago in Switzerland and I can confirm to you the following: Rolex is having massive problems with the Pepsi bezel, so much so that they are not delivering anymore. Did you know the colour of the green bezel on the Sub has been changed ever so slightly (from a poison green to a darker green) without any public announcement by Rolex? What I cannot confirm is the discontinuation of the Pepsi due to production problems… however that may be the case…
Cheers from little Switzerland, the home of Rolex. PS the new factory claiming to open in 2024 – well they have just bought the land on which it will be built, so 2024 is an illusion for being up and running!

I could care less about Rolex as a brand. Overpriced, overhyped, overexposed. Buy anything but a Rolex.

Nice observation, yet if you only consider price in pounds, you leave out the American price conversion. I see this in mph, weight , distance, etc. I know how to calculate the difference, yet many of your viewers do not,.. just saying. Other wise, love your observation.. E.

I walked into a Rolex AD the other day and the first thing that was said to me was: “just so you know, we don’t have any models in stock”. I promptly walked out.

Are you talking about used or new watches ? You should clarify that, otherwise your video got no substance.

Just saw a 39m Explorer in a grey market store in Seattle on sale at $8,000. Gives you an idea of the prices of desirable steel Rolex's in the US right now

  8. NOTAWEALTHYMAN

Are you comparing new, stickered grey market inventory selling for below retail or are you comparing new AD pricing vs older used watch pricing

  9. timemanagementnc

Great video as always. As an owner of a YM 40 Rhodium I hope you’re wrong. Love the watch and have no intention of selling it, but it’s alway nice to know you can recoup your expense if you have to sell it. If it does drop below retail, it is what it is. Life goes on.

Tried on a yacht master 37 at an AD yesterday that I could actually buy at retail! Unfortunately it was too small, so will wait for a 40.

They're not flippers. Flippers add value to items by enhancing them in some way. These people are scalpers. Their "value enhancement" is limited to first deleting a watch from availability then adding it back. How does that add value?

  12. Greg Chastine

As with anything, including people quitting their jobs to be day-traders, and watch flippers, what goes up must come down. Time to move on. If everybody wore Rolex they wouldn’t quite be as attractive would they?

  13. Rick Rounds

From now on, any watch youtube video that has 'Rolex' in the title gets a 'thumbs down' from me. Stop it, we just don't give a damned about that brand.

  14. GreaterBayArea Hero

Tbh all Rolex will go below retail. I mean ALL. No one is buying now.

  15. Dion Jordan

I don’t get it still, if supply doesn’t reach the demand then there will always be an expensive secondary market ?
