New (To Me) Design – Criss-Cross Table

The base of this large table features a criss-cross design that does away with two of the aprons you’d find in a typical table base. I honestly wasn’t sure if it would work and the only way to find out was to build one. If you really want to go in-depth into the design and execution of the Criss-Cross Table & Bench, you can pick up the course here: https://thewoodwhispererguild.com/product/criss-cross-dining-table-bench/

  1. Forgot to add that those Tenons were flipping brilliant ????
Really liked that idea ???? ????

  2. Awesome build! Looks Great! Also thanks for the inspiration for builds without the heavy advertisements of tools that many cannot afford, and as shown, don't even really need!

  3. Gorgeous man! I've learned so much from your channel. Now, where do I need that bench…..? 🙂

  4. Great video as always! Thank you for teaching us how to attack that massive router BIT on the router table with not even 1 kickback let alone 6 or 7. ????

  5. Looks great! I think four eyes furniture may have done similar in the past. They quite like this style.

  6. Very cool design!! Question: you live in Missouri, which has the best walnut (I am told.) Were you wanting lumber with knots? Or was clear lumber unavailable?

  7. curious why you thought the spline at the X was necessary … there shouldn't be much if any stress on that joint, and dining tables don't get moved very often…

  8. Love your design!
Very nice craftsman, as usual ???? Walnut is enjoyable to work with

  9. Great looking table, Marc~! I didn't think that I'd like the criss-cross legs, but they really look good. Love that heavy Walnut~!

  10. Surprised you didn't use Rubio for the finish. Beautiful table friend
