  1. Lisa you are absolutely right about the Lard. People need to do the research to find out how bad some of those cooking oils are for your body.

  2. I just found your channel, and I'm absolutely loving it! You run your household exactly as I've ALWAYS wanted to! The memories you are creating for your children are unbelievable!!!

  3. Lard is the new kale. Now that new evidence suggests carb heavy/seed oil diet studies were unethical it appears eating like humans did for centuries was the right path. Obviously all in moderation.

  4. Team animal fats????????‍♀️????????‍♀️????????‍♀️????????‍♀️ my entire family thinks Ive gone off the deep end but I'll just enjoy my delicious meals and call them healthy lol

  5. My mind was blown when you cooked all 8 pita breads in the oven ???? I love freshly made pita bread but dread how long it takes making one by one. I will have to try that method! Thank you for the inspiration!

  6. Lisa, your description of how lard is healthy and seed oils are not was perfect! It was gentle and accurate. I appreciate you.

  7. We are using olive oil for most of our cooking. I don't know why this is not common in the US, maybe because it's more affordable in Europe. A later of organic olive oil costs 12 euro. You have cheaper ones but I usually don't trust the source. Olives from Italy, Spain, France and Greece mostly.

  8. I just had my 8th baby always trusted God in my marriage but I'm personally getting afraid to have more children. Aren't you afraid? The economy is very hard , hard for a mom to be home with her children , making it hard for 2 working parents the price of everything how with they buy a home even what are your thoughts ?

  9. Thanks for the great video! So agree about the lard! As a 70 year old grandma/mom/cook/baker I thought I would mention a couple things I do that you might have fun trying. I leave my pizza dough in the fridge for a couple days to let it “ripen” and it’s so good. I don’t user a sour dough starter but it tastes like I do. Also, I have started using mashed cooked lentils in anything I use ground meat in. No one has noticed. I now keep them cooked and frozen in the fridge along with shredded lacinato kale because I do the same with it. If you cut it small enough it looks like parsley and you can gradually add more and they won’t mind. Well that’s the hope anyway.???? I also soak rolled oats in milk for my meatloaf instead of breadcrumbs. When my kids come home to visit they ask for it, among other things. Sorry this is so lengthy.❤ I miss cooking so much as our kitchen is being remodeled. Going to subscribe now.????

  10. ugh. you have those knives on the wall pointed down again…… and if they fall, they will wreck your hardwood floors…… they should be pointed up so the blunt edge hits the floor……….. a reminder!!!!

  11. I am loving your meatloaf recipe. We do ours very close to yours. We add rubbed sage (1 tsp) and chopped onion. I also add a little dried mustard to the ketchup, BROWN sugar glaze. So so good. Martha Stewart claims the recipe but I know mine is better. LOL Love watching you cook and keep your home.

  12. Love the dog under the table, hoping some of that chicken accidentally falls in his mouth????

  13. hi lisa. i have been watching your videos for years, especially the cooking videos. i love how real you are. i love your calming voice. you make everything look so easy 🙂

  14. Hi from Denmark ????
I dont know your kind of fresh buttermilk, but in Denmark buttermilk from the shops are in high demand because of this summer recipe… you should try it…????
    1 liter of buttermilk
    2 egg yolkes
    50-60 grams of sugar
1 tbsp vanilla or a vanillabean
    Juice from 1/2 lemon
Whisk egg and sugar to white fluff, ad vanilla and lemon – then the buttermilk. Serv in a bowl with granola and strawberries in season.
Every family have their ovn recipe, som lige it sweeter and leave out the lemon. Enjoy…

  15. Does the whole have to be pasteurized for the mayo. I really would like to make my own mayo but I’m not sure about the eggs ??

  16. I’m curious to know if you like your kitchen aid ice cream attachment

  17. I 100% agree with the meals you make the organic sourced products you get. Can't cook better than that! I grew up with the same way you're doing it. Way healthier than all the processed food on the shelves! Keep doing what you're doing!
