  1. Unfortunately, the price of building materials have skyrocketed due to supply issues, gas prices and this out of control inflation we are experiencing. Yeah, it’s a bummer, but your present house is gorgeous! Can’t wait to see what you will do next!

  2. So sorry hear this. Where one door is closed, God opens another. Something better is in the works for you.

  3. I am sorry it’s hard to let go , but I love your determination to figure out another way ❤

  4. I'm proud of you. You are a woman of strength and courage. Some people would let this destroy them, but this is when you shine!

  5. I guess you wiped the tears before this post was filmed, look on the bright side, it doesn’t look like construction had begun, that would have been a disaster. I’m sure that wonderful sweet tangy lemonade is gonna be refreshing.

  6. Well ,here in the UK, we have the same COMMIE plannig Stasi as you have in Tulsa that push innovation out the window and cost through the imagined roof.

  7. Keep your land. I could be wrong, but I feel this price increase…labor and materials and interest rates….will turn around. This is a result of recent changes in our world but more change will come. Nothing ever stays the same. Timing is everything. I am trying to get my own remodel going and my timing stinks too. Can't believe the cost of materials! But I'll wait. I'm not going anywhere. 🙂

  8. Its unfortunate and i truly feel your pain while admiring your tenacity. It could have been done with ease in 2019 or prior. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

  9. One thing I LOVE about how you live life is you are flexible! You don't let obstacles stand in your way ????

  10. It’s a disappointment for you. I get that. Sometimes you get what you need and not what you want. Be thankful for what you do have. Life is good 🙂

  11. Awe, that is too bad! It’s never fun when the dreams we have get dashed. I admire your positive outlook and spirit that enables you to regroup and go a different direction!

  12. so sorry for you Rebecca, but I'm sure you will find a way to fulfill your dream and it will turn out better than good. good luck and go on – always a pleasure to see you

  13. You suit your Current house soooo well… so you will still turn it into your forever dream house ???? you fell in love with it once… you will again❤️❤️❤️❤️

  14. My dream was also shattered. I couldn’t sell my house so had to move back in to it. I am in the process of finishing building a walk-in shower downstairs. Cheers, Rebecca, maybe it is a blessing in disguise.

  15. Personally, I love your home. I think it's beautiful and probably one of a kind, which is something I like alot. I know you wanted your dream home, but that could possibly come at a future date. For now, you're in a home that I consider to be a real beauty.

  16. Hi just a idea instead of building one big home how about some small homes for return army men and there family’s or even poor families and you could make money back from the tax man maybe .

  17. This is sad. I had hoped that you were getting your dream home built all this time. But I'm looking forward to hearing what you will be doing. As in is the dream home delayed while you find another builder. Will you just remodel your current home (which I think is beautiful" to your own specifications? Irregardless of what you decide I wish you the best in finding the right contractor, architect and team of people who work with you.
