Chicken In A JAR? (Escabeche Meal Prep Recipe)

Chicken escabeche is a flavorful dish that originates from Spain, but is also popular in Latin American and Filipino cuisines. It typically involves marinating and then cooking chicken in a tangy, sweet-sour sauce made from vinegar, sugar, and various spices, often accompanied by vegetables such as onions, peppers, and carrots. The resulting dish is a balance of tender, tangy, sweet, and savory flavors, which can be further enhanced by letting it sit, as the flavors tend to deepen over time.

  1. I’d eat chicken in a jar and I’d eat chicken in a car. White meat, dark meat, chicken legs and chicken feet. Whole chicken, cold chicken just about any old chicken.

  2. By the way… people who say it doesn't look good or that it's not good have no idea. But I recommend you first brown the chicken skin a little earlier in the pan.

  3. Greetings from Spain and welcome to the world of "escabeche". I always use bay leaf, pepper, oregano, thyme and the VERY IMPORTANT "pimentón de la vera" sweet or spicy.

  4. Hell nah. That disrespectful to the Cornish game hen. They cost too much to prep them in a jar.
