– Prepare oxidation mixture 3-4 days in advance. Fill glass jar with vinegar 3/4 of the way, then rip steel wool pad into little pieces and soak in vinegar until they dissolve.
– Prep your work area! Put down tarp/drop-cloth and protect your hands, eyes, and mouth with gloves, goggles, and mask when things start flying all over the place.
– Brush on stripping gel and lit sit for the recommending amount of time (30 minutes to 24 hours). May need to repeat this step if all of the previous finish doesn’t come off the first time. Scrape stripping gel and the old finish with a metal scraper.
– Wash surface with mineral spirits, then let dry.
– Sand surface, then clean off dust.
– Apply oxidation mixture. Let dry and clean off dust.
– Apply wash, then immediately wipe away excess. Let dry.
– Lightly sand away any paint or brush strokes left on the high areas of the wood.
– Clean sanding residue and seal!

I just applied a dark walnut oil stain on top of sanded pine table and would like to either whitewash over or use white pickling stain over? Which do you think better?
I'm redoing my dining table but, I just can't come up with the look I want. Part of the problem is the wood grain runs in too many directions, can I do long strokes and fake out the real directions?
Love your candid presentation. Thanks
Good simple instructions, great job
Your videos are so informative but also SO fun! I love them!!
Nice work. The Restorer may be helpful to check out.
I've been a cabinet maker and woodworker for 20 plus years good job bro like the way it came out
Well done. I like the effect and like how you experiment with different techniques. Thank you!
You're a pleasure to watch and listen too. I can't wait to see more and try some techniques. Thank you for sharing. The tabletop is perfect!
Just found your channel! I love your videos. I think your hilarious, you don’t show much emotion but it’s hilarious!!!
Nice table but you talked ALOT
Love the thorough detailed step-by-step tutorial! Love the finished look.
good job, looks great, but you talked way to fast and it was hard to understand you sometime. but thanks for sharing.
What was the wax sealer you used please let me know
Where is the video of you actually doing this project? Too much talking.
Wish you would've spent more time showing the finished product… especially from different angles.
I strained my oxidation solution twice thru a coffee filter to get any metal out of the liquid, that worked great.
We used 4 coats on the sanded table top and only a little residue. I wiped the table down with a damp rag, didn't bother the weathering at all.
