so my mother has incredible drug cocktails and has type 1 diabetes – it feels really hopeless because her family doctor just doesn't care at all, the hospital just tells her to avoid these above foods. but she is in such high risk and fragile state in her 70's now I wonder what more can be done. english is also NOT her first language so if I'm not there with her at her check ups I have no idea what is going on at all. i feel so helpless and useless, we're so at the mercy of docs and drugs!
