I think my sciatica is getting worse. At first it only started hurting when I would walk for awhile now it hurts when i sit. Only laying down relieved the pain

i had sciatic bad to the point my leg was twisted and couldnt put my left leg straight, i got on a weight bench and inclined the bench to about 45 degrees and forced my leg straight through the pain, i then bench pressed about 20 kg and my lower back muscles clenched then thud, pushed my disc in place where it should be and no more pain..
