Chef Heston Blumenthal is on a mission to cook the perfect Fish and Chips. Watch this clip to find out how to fillet a fish, and how to prepare the most fantastic beer batter. Great recipe idea using unusual cooking equipment from BBC cooking show ‘In Search of Perfection’.

  1. I know people like to joke about his recipes how they take ages and it's funny of course, but if you enjoy cooking they can be quite fun to make and they are often really "something else" in terms of flavour and textures…

  2. I’m sure these chips are amazing but could u imagine having people over for dinner, just give me 15 hours people and dinner is served.

  3. If you look closely you will notice this guy avoided down syndrome by very small margin.

  4. Honestly, love his suggestion, but if you want really crispy chips, you have to fry them 5 times!

  5. It's unfortunate he doesn't cover the fat you need to be frying these in, which is beef dripping (tallow).

Don't go through all this work and ruin the final product by using vegetable oil.
