  1. Thank you!!!! Tons of videos and you’re the only one who showed me how to tighten the nut on the actual spigot itself!

  2. Thanks for sharing your expertise with us! My hubby and I are starting to fix things ourselves around our home… it gives us such a feeling of accomplishment… already fixed the microwave and dishwasher… here we come spigot!

  3. Still didn't cover my leak. At the spicket end. My hose swivels to allow it not to kink when it is moved. It leaks at the swivel when water pressure is increased and sprays wildly wasting valuable desert water.

  4. None of these are my problem. It leaks where the hose connects to the spigot. It has a washer. All my hoses do this on all my spigots (3)

  5. It worked! I spent $15 on new parts and probably saved over $100. Thanks!

  6. nothing on this video was about a leaking hose. a leaky faucet and a leaky sprayer.

  7. Dear Renee, You are a life saver. Tightening the packing nut saved the day. After reading all the complicated things I was supposed to do (that I wouldn't be comfortable doing), I found you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

  8. Thank you, ma'am, for showing me the solution that fixed my problem! And it's great to see a woman doing home engineering. We women can do it!

  9. would you believe my boyfriend says that it's not an issue it's supposed to be like that sometimes?

  10. can't figure out what's going on… when i turn the spigot on everything is fine. when i connect the feeder hose to my hose reel, water starts coming from the hose. I bought another feeder hose and got the same results. there's a new washer with the new hose. can you tell what's going on?

  11. if its a water heater escape isnt that the purpose a forced drip irrigation system or an indirect water to sewer disposal . the question is do i have an old fashioned water heater system that forces me to have a direct line to only the water ill be showering or do i have a legal drip irrigation system? have drip irrigation systems used for farming ever been considered illegal excess water use. or do i just have a faulty line break?

  12. I tighten the nut as that's what many on the web suggested. However it still leaks. Then I remembered I didn't have this problem before I connected this new hose I bought, so I disconnected the hose and turned on the faucet. Water came out and no leak from the handle area. When I reconnected the hose it started leaking under the handle again. And I am 100% sure its not leaking from the hose to the faucet. Water is coming out from handle assembly. What should I check next?

  13. if the leak is coming from the spigot connection, make sure that the hose is tight enough .. all I did was tighten it a few more turns with a vice grip wrench and no more leaking .. hand tightened wasn't enough to make a good seal, in my case anyways

  14. Thank you so much! I was worried I would have to call a plumber and can't really afford that, but I followed your instructions and, voila, problem solved!! I'm delighted! Thank you. Also, though it was posted two years ago, I just want to reply to "dumpbut": I would have had to call and pay for a "professional plumber" to fix it, so it's not exactly common sense to everyone.
