  1. Oh my goodness what a wealth of info! Thanks Luke! Im on my third seed order! Love your seeds! Thanks so much!! Cannot wait for the washi tape!!!!

  2. I'm going to try growing sweets in grow bags because I don't have space in my garden. I didn't realize I needed to start them this early so glad you put this video out.

  3. I got more than 10 slips from 1 store bought sweet potato in a quart jar with water in the kitchen window. ';D

  4. Hey Luke your fertilizer is really making a difference in my garden can you sell on Amazon to make it easier to get it

  5. I’ll tell you the easiest way to grow slips.

Get a big clear plastic container. Put sweet potatoes in container. Cover with dirt. Water. Put lid on. Put outside until slips are ready or a sunny window in your home or greenhouse. Since you are covering the potatoes they will grow roots. Simple. ❤

  6. I planted organic sweet potatoes for the first time last year and ended up harvesting about 25 potatoes. I was so excited, hoping for the same success this year!

  7. Great timing! I was just thinking about growing sweet potatoes at some point. Love eating them, but also the foliage is lush and beautiful!

  8. Alf of the potato in water, alf out of the water in a jar of water with a lot of heat on a radiator works fine.

  9. After two seasons of successfully growing our regular potatoes (russet, purple, and yukon), I was looking to expand and DANG if the price of slips didn't stop my hopes about a month back. This was perfectly timed! (And Vermont might still have time if I get some this week!!!)

  10. Thanks for the grow guide. I tried to do this 2 years on my own but it got rotted. I didn’t keep it in a dark location, so I am going t try it with my purple muraski sweet potatoes.

  11. I am attempting this, started last week, but I did not buy something labeled as "organic" so I have low expectations.

  12. We are slipping in play sand, we are using 'trad store' potatoes but did a presoak and started super wet to deal with the spray thing. In the past instead of detaching the slips we trim at nodes and root those leaving the slips on until we have enough.

  13. Hello, thank you for this video. This is very encouraging since I’m just starting out. Thank you again

  14. I saw Lowe's had a ton of sweet potato starts. Like 4 or 5 potatoes a bag for $4. Would that be the same as the store bought?

  15. Given up on starting them indoors, they are magnets for aphids and trips, its like they appear from nowhere whenever the slips get to size.

  16. Very Informative video Luke. Thanks for sharing your wisdom ! We appreciate you! Peace.
