  1. 😂 Yeah you're assuming that people replacing doors have all that stuff at their house. That's why we go to Lowe's and Home Depot. To buy stuff that's already the right size with the holes already. 🤦‍♀️

  2. I'm not a carpenter but why would you measure 10" from the floor, then measure 9-7/8", and cut off the 1/8"? If you use the previous door as a template, couldn't you just use it to mark the excess and cut it off?

  4. Does Lowe's have handyman/contractors that can do this for me? I have 4 doors currently that I want done.

  6. I wish I had watched this video before having someone install 2 doors like the one featured in the video for me. He installed them upside down. I could have corrected him if I had done a bit of research. Now I'm stucked with poorly installed 🚪.

  10. Great video. Right to the point and no wasted time. Only one part missing. You forgot to tell us what to do with the excess on the long edge after transferring line from the old door. Obviously we are to trim it with a saw. Otherwise I think this covered it.

  14. I prefer pre hung, tried installing a flat door and i could never get it to shut perfectly when i put it back on the hinges. A pre hung door most of the work is done for you.

  16. Now I realize what massive idiots we were for not separating the hinges. We once had to remove the front door to get a new refrigerator into the house, and we just unscrewed the screws on the hinges on the frame, and now our door has problems.
