In this video I will show you the three things to look for when choosing a sweet, ripe and juicy watermelon at the grocery store. I will also show you how to cut a watermelon into cubes.
The three things you have to look for in a good watermelon are:
1. A nice, yellow belly.
2. A brown belly-button.
3. When you tap it, it should sound like tapping a bucket full of water.
Here are some good watermelon-cutting knives:

I saw watermelon at Costco last week and it was $17.99
No kidding!
I can smell that watermelon. ❤❤❤
How do you avoid a mealy watermelon?
Thanks
I love watermelon
should have pick a good one and a bad one and compare them.
Probably doesn't matter, but I knock on my melon instead of tapping with my fingers. Just sounds better to me. I wish had sugar baby melons at the grocers so I could try it. I've never heard of it before.
what is the benefit of the yellow spot?
I knew about the yellow spot but not the other two. I love watermelon ????
THANK YOU…WONDERFUL
1st – find one with seeds.
Thanks for the ????sharing
1) Hope you washed the watermelon before cutting.
2) More refreshing if it's cold. I usually put my in a watermelon container overnight to drain water and, of course, chill!
That white part os the skin is more nutritive than the red part, a lot of people pickle it white part
En la shape, la rounds are the more sweets
most of it is how they are grown.
Brilliantly done and super helpful! Thank you Christian!
Also …
Grapes : A very dry and brown stem means the grapes are sweet – no matter what color the grapes are.
You had me until you cut off all that rind, I like eating it the old-fashioned way, then pass the rind on to the deer????and the raccoons???? they love it!
It's a shame that they've stopped growing real watermelons …
I always feel for "bee stings" where wasps or other stining insects sting the melon and make it weep juice for them. It's always proved to be the sweetest melon……
Why didn't you cut away the areas with seeds? This is why I get "seedless "
Grandpa always said look for b stings!
Now I know,???? I even asked people working at the supermarket and they didn’t know.
I bite into that rind then wash my face with it
Very helpful. Thank you!
They sure look good and juicy
How to tell that it don't have any colour added or injected ?
Thanks a lot for the tip! God bless!
