  1. Thanks for talking about delayed transplants being potentially better. I waited until the last day of the window to plant my seeds. I probably should have waited longer but was getting harassed by neighbors and the hubby to get it done. Hopefully I won’t have to keep potting up like I did last year lol.

  2. i like the Gardening channel.for me it's very inspiring in gardening, especially when the harvest comes it feels like i'm also harvesting

  3. Well it’s good to know I started 40 tomato plants and everything else too early for my state (although people say to) lol. Hopefully I get away with it

  4. So much good advice in this video! I have been extra vigilant at keeping a journal this year, thanks to your advice, and I’m trusting it will pay off! ❤️❤️❤️❤️s for the boss!

  5. James, thank you so much for sharing your practice journal dates!! I'm in NYC and this is a super helpful reference even though it's 7b and only doing containers here.. It's nice to know that later can sometimes be better. Super excited to try growing new things
    ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️for Tuck

  6. Ground hogs are the worst. Concerning the start dates, you should mention that when you’re starting your seeds (such as the peppers and tomatoes), they’re being started in a greenhouse or under controlled conditions inside. Not all of us have a greenhouse or even cold frames, so it’s important to use the frost dates/soil temperatures suggested by the seed companies.

  7. I went back and watched your video showing how to make the hinged hoop house for raised beds and ordered all the supplies. Now I just have to wait for the snow to melt so I can make and attach them. Not going to be for a while though because we're supposed to get another 6" Friday. Thanks for another great video filled with gardening tips and Tuck enjoying a carrot.

  8. It’s so good to see the boss snacking, God bless your little boy Boss????
Thank you James for sharing your knowledge.

  9. Hello Bro, thank you for you Video. How many Degrees do you have? Looks so warm. We have just 37,4F here in Berlin Germany. To cold to start. Best Time for Tomatoes is the End of March at my Window. They do not come out before the Ice Saints (something like the mid of May) and a liitle bit earlier in the Greenhouse.

  10. 5:00 Mel's Mix! The 1:1:1 compost/peat moss-coir/vermiculite combo is a proven winner, popularized by Mel Bartholomew, the author of the Square Foot Gardening book.

  11. Love your videos. I'm starting my first square foot garden this year and Im trying to grow everything from seed. Its so exciting to see all the plants growing…now just waiting for the weather to cooperate here on Cape Cod. Thanks:)

  12. Did you scrap the permafrost?? Sorry it’s been possible some time since I’ve seen your videos but saw you being suggested and figured I’d come by and show some love. Looks like your famous now with over a millions subs!! Great Job James!!

  13. Really great video. I have learned so much from you! I def already started some seeds way too earlier ????
