I'm getting conflicting advice: One says mix primer with paint, Other says first prime with 'oil base' or 'latex' primer – then paint. Any advice?

The vinegar and water worked with patience and elbow grease. Half the room done, now to get more vinegar in the morning. Thanks for your information, I was dreading this job, still do, but it gets it done.
So I just got a contract first time in my life to remove wallpaper from a building 21 stories high and I’m in tension because the deadline is close
I do not like this way I prefer the way my apprenticeship taught me, Sponge/ Brush / Or them stray bottles then soak it with water after this scrap it off (wait 10 minutes). Trust me it’s easier!
I’m working on the bathroom and the paper above the shower & toilet. All I needed was a little sliver to get started & it came right off. None of this was necessary. I’m thinking this is going to be quick and simple.
However when I go to the final wall…oh boy. It was like watching a marathon. Waiting for the runner in last place to finish marathon. Thanks for the tips.
The wallpaper scoring tool is a nightmare. It's very easy to apply too much pressure, scoring into the drywall. When water is applied this also soaks into the drywall damaging it as you strip the wallpaper.
They don't show you the hours or days spent removing the adhesive layer
In short : wallpaper is a nightmare
Don't use the idiotic scorer, just peel both layers
Brilliant, just what I need.
I discovered today that if I just sprayed the wallpaper several times with water and let it sit 15-20 minutes it peels right off with the adhesive too!
Wallpaper removal journey…
Thanks! After learning about the intricacies of wallpaper removal, I realized I DON'T want to spend the time and effort doing it myself.
This video is a pack of lies.
You can make anything look easy with fancy editing
Ugh this is going to take FOREVER. ????
It takes too long to remove from 1 br? To someone who has never done that before.
Jesus Christ is Lord and King ????
People putting up wallpaper should be prosecuted and sentenced to remove wallpaper for the rest of their lives. ????

Does it have to be oil based primer?
