  1. seasoning is basically burned oil on bare metal. I have to clean my kitchen dance once every couple if months and burned oil is the hardest thing to remove.from naked metal. just a little scrub will not harm any thing. in order for me to clean the oil off, I have to soak the oil filters in degreaser for days to strip the oil. even regular soap can not remove the burned oil because it sticks to naked metal like a second coat.

  3. Video blows.  NO narrative.  gimme a break.  and some instruction for pete's sake.

  4. Excellent video. I was really impressed with the finish you got in such a short time. This method is very similar to Grace Young's. I really appreciate the time you took to make and post this video. I love that wok…would you mind posting the brand/purchase place?

  5. Thanks for your video. What is the make and model of the stove/burner? Where can i find it online?

  6. Use the wire at the start, but only a soft sponge, paper towel or bamboo brush at the end. <3 This will help your patina last longer.

Also, to build up coats (do this after you wash it at the very least), before you let it cool down, rub a paper towel with oil all around, then rotate over heat to get the oil darker and opaque– (it will start to smoke) and repeat until it's as dark as you want, just use tongs to avoid burning your fingers. Just a light coat each time, no need to let it pool. When you are done, always finish as he did, with one last coat while it cools.

  7. This is the best video on seasoning – clear, concise and no nonsense.
    It woks.

  8. whoa…I was more into the advertisement on the XBOX one and the guy in the shark tank….sweetness

  9. this is the second time I've seen you make this comment, if their methods didn't work for them, it good enough. If you're specifically looking for a method that works for a high pressure burner make a video for everyone else since you seem to know a lot about the subject. Or look on google, and not Youtube, because it's hard to search the word "seasoning wok on high pressure burner" using a video when must just say "seasoning wok". you're more likely to find it in written form.
