  1. I love that you include Julia and credit her when talking about the work on the pieces!

  2. I’ve been studying my Chinese custom history recently, and I love that you said
“it’s like saying 1920s flapper is traditional American. “ that was the comparison that cleared the timeline up fo me.
Excited to see this entire process because purchasing fabric can be challenging when your new too it.
    Thank you Wendy.

  3. I honestly don't watch for the satisfying finished garment, nor the sewing instructions, (nor the very helpful thrifting by favoriting suggestions). I simply watch to hear your calming voice and watch you use a sewing machine carefully and share your team and family in a very wholesome way. There's a teacher saying – the students will forget what you said and what they did, but they'll never forget how you made them feel. Wendy, you make your viewers feel like old friends and that's why I watch your content. Hugs.🤗 I hope the garment is everything you are hoping for.

  4. I majored in Chinese art history in university and have lived in China for 5+ years now! I learned a lot about historical clothing to help distinguish time periods and styles in artworks, and I happily joined in on wearing some hanfu for work related parties! You have done such a good job! Can’t wait to see the reveal

  5. Wendy are you not pre-washing/soaking your fabrics before starting your projects? Because that's a pretty important step, not just to avoid this colour leeching, but to avoid unexpected shrinkage. If you choose not to then fair enough but if it hadn't occurred to you, it does make for better, more sustainable pieces.

  6. Great to start with the mini version, to practice and tackle the small size first! Even if it's not fully finished, it looks well crafted and lovely! Also, your glasses coordinate perfectly!

  7. Omg I’m absolutely loving this project! Could you also make one with more resources on traditional Chinese clothes?

  8. I'm dying, can u tell me the piece playing in 3:41 please? 🙂
for context hahahahah I play the flute in I KNOW that I've played that piece but I can't remember the name of it and im going crazy
