It’s an interesting quilt, and if you had 8 colours in the non star blocks you could keep the same 4 together, in 2 versions, alternate their placement and the effect would be like a basket weave between the stars?
In the pattern photo the stars come to the fore more because the green isn’t so strong, but you’ve chosen red and I think it’s a bit strong to be honest, and the L shapes it makes detract from the stars a bit, but it’s still a knockout quilt and very bold, effective and still simple. Excellent!
