How are your arms after all that snow removal? When I do it I get snow falling down the back of my neck.
How fun is that in the cold frame! So exciting! Anticipation! ❤️
I so so so enjoy watching the garden tours and everything else you do to improve the area. It's a lot of work and I applaud you for being super woman. Lol You are amazing. It's nice to see how everything has grown since you planted each beautiful plant tree etc. Please keep posting. Brings so much pleasure and knowledge.
I live just north of you guys in Washington and got the same snow. I was told to only worry about big leafy bushes or trees (like magnolias) being weighed down with snow and to leave the evergreens alone. I have cypress and cedars in my yard but they seem fine now (the snow melted yesterday finally). My question: are there ever some evergreens you wouldn’t bother knocking snow off or you just eyeball it and do this as needed?
Russel is checking your work😂
You are so funny. I live in zone 4, Minnesota, and have never dusted snow off of our boxwoods or evergreens :). I bet it was relaxing though to do something outside and they look beautiful!
New hair color is pretty.
I would have to camp out in the Hartley to watch the snow fall. How Peaceful surrounded by all that Beauty and Wonder.
I know your terracottas don't usually break, but just keep an eye on these, afterall you just watered them in
Also: the arb de-snowing was so satisfying!
Hey Laura, love your new hair colour!
I love going into the Hartley with you , I always try to look past you at the plants 😊
Love watching your videos. Have you ever thought of putting burlap on your evergreens? I know you have a ton of them but then you wouldn’t have to go broom them. Thanks for sharing your garden and your family with us. 🎄
Would you say it's more important removing snow from established evergreens before newly planted? Will you remove the snow from the new boxwoods around the Hartley at all? Also, do you water all bulbs in after planting or just certain types?
Darn it! I know what you are saying makes sense BUT I love the snow on the bushes. Especially the little round ones. I even bought new lights for them this year because I love seeing the lights under the snow.
Your videos are wonderful. Teaching me so many things I never knew and showing me a way of life I never knew existed. I didn't know you could loose evergreens to snow load. Thank you. ❤️🙂 I grew up in a 2nd generation broken home. Full of addiction, procrastination, chaos, irresponsibility, immorality and confusion. It forever makes life difficult but I'm learning to change all that.
why not try the leaf blower
Ohhhh Russel!😂 he’s checking out EVERYTHING you do, it’s so much fun to watch him chase after you! He made me laugh more than once!😅
