This was the WORST refinishing job (so far) to fix! VINTAGE BAR CABINET MAKEOVER

This little bar cabinet I thought was going to be an easy(ish) flip, but it ended up taking DAYS longer than expected. I had some significant damage to repair from a prior refinishing and it wasn’t looking very promising. I even wanted to give up at one point.

But I’m glad I stuck it out.

  1. I'm glad you chose this piece Angie! Yes, it was a challenge because of its condition, but it was an unusual piece IMHO. It looks great!!
I vote for you to keep it. ☺️

For some reason I get the feeling it was "refinished" & used in a feat or dorm room.
It has a new life now!

Oh, if you have the time, of love to see you make the shelf that sits on the top ☺️

Loved the bits with Muffin ???? & vacation ????

  2. the music bed is really nice for this video, to say nothing of the miracles you worked on this piece!

  3. I love the technique of drawing-in the missing parts of the veneer. I have never seen that before.

  4. Omg I feel your pain. My daughter had me do a mid century piece for her and I’m pretty sure I applied more glue to that piece than paint. As always, your piece turned out beautiful. I actually purchased a few Mohawk toners and so on and tried it out on a burled wood piece I did. It’s thanks to your videos that I discovered those products and OMG, what a difference it made. I do have one question for you that has nothing to do with this piece. Are you having the same issue as me in trying to find the Design Master spray paints? I used to purchase it at Michaels here in Montréal and no one seems to hold it anymore. I tried other brands but they don’t come close the the quality of Design Master. I had to order it in the U.S. and have it shipped to a snowbird friend of mine who will bring it back here in May.

  5. Very nice save! Pretty result. I like the colours you used and those skookum black casters really give it a quirk as the exterior is quite simple.

  6. Such an amazing job as always!! It looks so pretty. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your trip, Central America is such a beautiful region of the world. I lived in Panama for a few years as a kid (read army brat) and I loved it. I still miss all the wild life you would see down there. Fun story, one day a Parrot flew in through our front door and thought my dad was the best thing in the world and wouldn't leave. So we had a random parrot living with us for about 6 months, then I guess it fell out of love and just flew away one day when we had the door open.

  7. Another amazing piece! When I start watching one of your videos, I wonder… how in the world is she going to be able to save this piece. You never cease to amaze me! They always turn out beautiful!

  8. Welcome back…looks like a great vacation. You did your magic again! Did you put glas on the top where there was a tray before or just left it alone? Anyway it is gorgeous
