  1. I really love these videos…. Even tho he just shamed my whole house basically…… I have all of these except the bar cart and the towel ledder…… And i was just thinking of getting a bar cart for plant growing…. ????❤

  2. I just realized that I have many more wine glasses than friends. No ottomans, but many wine glasses.

  3. “We think we’re going to have all these people over and it turns out they don’t even like us either.” ????

  4. thats the American way: i need more-bigger houses-furnitiure-cars just in case __(fill in blank)_________ or to impress upon folks that since I have more-bigger houses-furniture-cars I have MADE it.

  5. Nick's squeaky wheeled bar cart impression???????????? I kinda want to get a bar cart, because my brother leaves his alcohol mixing stuff all over the kitchen, but I don't have room. I'm making room for a coffee nook, since my coffee stuff is currently taking over the kitchen!

  6. In our home no drink or food are allowed in the living room, only kitchen and dinning room. So side table is just not needed.

  7. We use cushioned folding chairs as temporary seating for the once a year gathering we host. Easy to store and carry.

  8. Interior designer knickknacks make a space look cluttered. Get rid of the Tom Ford book you never opened, the oversize wood beads draped out of the bowl, the fake plants.. . Clear off these surfaces.

  9. "They're not coming, honey. They're not coming!" I love your good taste and humor.

  10. I can’t agree with you more about the seasonal decor. But then I’m British and it’s starting to infect our shores. No, go back to ????????????

  11. Your points of view are always rational, humorous and make sense. I am surprised anyone still goes for the huge entertasinment units. You immediately restrict the size TV you can have, and TV's just keep getting bigger. Plus you can't rearrange your furniture if one wall is built in like that. I can't imagine anyone with kids having a bar cart on display – all that booze handy for the teens! In Australia we don't go in for seasonal decor, except for Christmas, and even then I don't think we are as over the top as North America. Maybe it's because our seasons aren't as clearly defined, and we don't really do Halloween etc. I agree about the end tables and footstools. They can clutter a room up very quickly.

  12. The 32 people that you don't like are NOT coming, honey!! They're not coming!

  13. I am sorry, but a nightstand per person is essential. I also have a tower ladder, not to store but to dry my towels. Works great, looks really nice and it is rental friendly ????

  14. Your bar cart "creekey creeky creek" sound effect is perfect! I played it over and over then took "antique bar cart" off my must-have list! ????

  15. I have glassware for every type of alcoholic beverage…probably totally unnecessary, since I do not even drink alcohol and have no alcoholic beverages in my home. I just bought into the idea that I need beer glasses, margarita glasses, champagne flutes, snifters, etc, etc. Serious candidates for decluttering…..what should I really keep?

  16. I love love your videos, you make me laugh, I always learn. And this time I got to let go of some Instagram guilt ???????? thanks

  17. Nick, those floating nightstands by the bed creep me out. For some reason the tv show “Outer Limits” comes to mind!

  18. “If you like to display your alcoholism go for it” ????????????
    Love this guy ‼️

  19. I had to watch the bar cart section 3 times. E-er-e-er ???? Hilarious!

  20. could not agree more concerning a bar cart. there is nothing intrinsically attractive about bottles of liquor and can you think of a less practical way to store glassware? this fits right in with the "open storage" concept in the kitchen. also impractical and visually distracting.

  21. "unless you really love the look of displaying your alcoholism" ????Yeahhh, mixology is a hobby of mine so my bar cart is stacked. It was actually my first piece of furniture I had in my home, as a moving gift from my partner. I only have basically one bottle of everything I might need for drinks (one rye, one bourbon, one dark rum, one light rum, one mezcal), but I have so many specialty liqueurs and apéritifs for specific drinks that it looks… concerning to those who don't partake (like my parents). I recently moved a lot of my bottles to my cabinets so my bar cart can look more curated & beautiful. Especially because I have friends over for cocktails most weeks, my bar cart is frequently at the center of attention, so its styling is important to me.

  22. Agree with most of what you're saying here, especially having pieces that work with what you intend on using the space for. Beyond that, as a retired LA interior designer (with a college degree in interior design) I do have one small suggestion: consider changing out the cover colors of those pillows on your sofa for something that pulls from the blue and brown tones in the painting hanging opposite the sofa. Just sayin'. Glad to have found you, Nick…I'm subscribing.
