  1. Go to https://helixsleep.com/minimalmom to get up to $200 off your mattress, plus two free pillows! We can't say enough good things about our mattress! And I hope this helps declutter Fantasy Self items…this will bring SO much freedom to your home and life!!! All my best, Dawn

  2. "WWDD" (What Would Dawn Do) has saved me from going back into the trunk of my car, and taking things out, that are on the way to the Donation Center! Went 3 times last week to bring/drop stuff off…I couldn't even tell you today, what it all was!

  3. I love puzzles and recently discovered that my city's public library has puzzles!! So excited to be able to take a puzzle out and do it, then take it back! No clutter! Thinking about donating some of mine so others can enjoy them too!

  4. Scrapbooking. I did it when my kid was a baby. 17 years later…full of stuff but haven't had the time or will to continue 😕

  5. I have a question about your mattress. What is under it since you don’t need a “foundation” piece? Is it firm enough to sit in a few rails? Thank you.

  6. love this !very authentic unique video on being ourselves is truly enough is just the right content !more please,

  7. Over the years fantasy self…cross stitcher, knitter, stamping, scrapbooking, sewing, gardening, treadmill, card making, crocheting. Stuck with three- crocheting, reading and sewing. Slacking back on crochet to pick up gardening. Cannot do well on any if too many.

  8. Well, growing up, my mother was always into gardening, as in flower gardening, not vegetable gardening. I began to think in middle school that was my career path. I got a bachelor's degree in horticulture, did an internship at a wonderful company, and landed a great paying job straight out of college. After 4 years, it was not a passion. My husband and I would grow vegetable gardens and can green beans and corn. By the end of that 4 years, that was the last thing I wanted to come home to. I quit my job to work closer to home. I am now working in the banking business, making close to what I was before I left my job. I enjoy banking. The finance world was my alternative route that I ignored. However, God placed me in my path so that I can have the people in my life now. My husband, including

One thing that my husband and I enjoy is boating. I can remember times before we met, I would dream of being out on the water. It was just a bonus that he owned a boat when we met. His boat was nothing that would impress anyone. As a matter of fact, it was sinking on us the last time I skied behind it. We upgraded twice before the boat we have now. During that season of our life, it was great. Now that we have kids, we are paranoid they will end up drowning in the water. It's not as enjoyable. Now my husband wants to get a motor home to drive all over the place.

These are just a few of the many things I have shown interest in. Some stemming from others or a shared hobby.

Dawn, you are an incredible person, and I love to watch your videos. Your videos are never the same thing. You're constantly throwing a spin on everything you have learned. It's like a compilation of all the great books you read in one video. This is a great thing because I can not stand reading. Your videos are also inspiring. You are my fantasy person. I dream of a minimalistic lifestyle. One day I will be there but I'm taking it very slow. Having 2 kids has kind of thrown a damper on my progress. Hopefully, I can instill something into their lives. Until then, keep the content coming!

  9. I have a ton of cook books – even though I've decluttered a ton already. But….. I hate cooking. Fantasy self chef is never going to become a reality.

  10. My fantasy self is an excellent cook, therefore, have expensive cookware. In reality, I use the Instant Pot, rice cooker, and slow cooker.
Also, is a traveler, so I own 6 suitcases. 😮 there’s only the 2 of us.

  11. Ohhh the money I've spent on card-making supplies then i realized i don't enjoy doing this craft, I just enjoyed the planning to do the the craft ($$$) 😭

  12. Fantasy self…. How complicated life can be! My mom was a tap dancer, but wanted me to take ballet…. I was not good at it, I really wanted tap. Then growing up, I wanted to be an artist, my dad was an artist, he forbid me to study art, even going to my high school and insisting that I was not to take any art courses. I wanted to be a nun, thinking I could study art…. Well that didn’t work out. Life goes on. I have a degree in Home Economics, I did sneak in a couple art courses. Life goes on…. Single working mother for too many years. Retired, took art courses and workshops, now YouTube lessons. This fantasy self finally became reality. I can call myself an artist! Success story, with lots of turns and twists in the journey.

  13. Loved your different fantasy selves, Dawn! You had me smiling all throughout this video, you are so cute!! 🏋️‍♀️👩‍🍳 👩‍🎨 📚

  14. I just love you and your advice/tips ❤. I’ve been watching your videos for 2 years and I’ve decluttered sooooo much!

  15. I dream to be my fantasy self, therefore most of my fantasy stuff is relevant…. I know I can live and be at least some of my fantasy self and not just the dishwasher.

  16. When I was a Mary Kay rep, we had a group training session where we were suppose to find our “why” for being in the business. I couldn’t think of ANY good reason I was doing what I was doing and trying to be a director. I joined because my best friend wanted me to but I never owned it. After many years of struggling with it, I finally quit. No regrets and totally relieved when I walked away. Looking back, I hated many aspects of that career

  17. I’m a very project oriented person.. I don’t love scrapbooking but I did love making my baby a book. I try to get second hand and then pass on any “extra” supplies when I finish a project for a hobby I don’t stick with 😅

  18. I own over 500 books, but five years ago, it was over a thousand… these are not frivolous novels type books either, but are mostly valuable, collectible and educational as well… My goal for this month of January is to reduce the number to not more than 300… It's tedious and emotionally draining… Appreciate your insight!

  19. I’m the fitness outfit of the thumbnail, you look like Katie from Cullen and Katie! Lol.

  20. I took two sewing classes in high school. I loved it and so I bought myself a sewing machine in 2015. It’s still in the box. Never been opened. In my defense, I’ve moved a lot and every place I’ve been in, I’ve thought, oh, I won’t be here long, I don’t want to unpack it and have it get damaged while moving. And while I was moving, I was also teaching and in grad school, so I didn’t have the time. Now I’m not teaching, finished grad school, and settled down in a permanent place. Now idk If I could even remember how to thread the machine because I’m so out of practice! 🤦🏼‍♀️
I would like to try to relearn sewing. I have also decluttered just about everything else from my home and moved on from other “hobbies”. I think this will be the year I try it, and if it doesn’t bring me joy this time around, then I can make peace with that high school version of me and let it go! Thank you for all that you do, Dawn! You’re doing God’s work!

  21. I have a broken garbage disposal under my desk. 😃 i keep intending to take it apart to learn how they work. Mind you, I've already replaced it with a functioning one. Mayhaps i should let it go. 😄

  22. My fantasy self goes to the theatre and Ballet. Hence collection of dressy clothes. ! Go once every few years.
