About us,

We are a family from the North-East of England following our dream to restore a beautiful abandoned french Château. We discovered the heart stopping Château De Lalacelle in summer of 2020, this beautiful architectural monument Is set in the countryside of North-West France.

The moment we visited the Château we all fell in love, from the beautiful sweeping landscape and forests, to its stunning untouched interiors and magnificent spiral staircase in the turret.

Unfortunately Château De Lalacelle has been abandoned for a number of decades so will need a lot of restoration and DIY.

Please subscribe and follow our families journey, with the up’s and down’s in moving from the UK and Escape to rural France to restore this beautiful building to its former glory.

  1. I soo love what you have achieved and continue to do. My question is, in the front entrance, you didn't follow the natural shapes eqally around the two fountains. The sharp angle is on one side incongruous to the other side of the layout, particularly as the Chateau is that in the original garden borders symetric, which you have created on your amazingly beautiful terraced, redisgned garden.. I'm not sure what you are doing with this obvious choice of symmetry.
With my great respect and regards. Shaelene Read.Australia.

  2. WOW it looks so good, cannot wait to see the finished project love it. You all work so hard.

  3. So much respect for you guys, you work so so hard it’s incredible how much work you put into everything. It’s amazing what human can do!! ❤❤❤❤❤ I love to watch your progress it’s just absolute incredible . Greetings and love from New York Petra

  4. Awesome job, all. The fountain with the acid did the trick. I don't think you going slow at all. So much done! The drone shots say it all! Those lights are absolutely perfect. They make such a huge difference. ❤

  5. Part looks great but wondering if the curved corner near the gate could be angled like all the others? It just stands out a bit from aerial shots. It may be a connection point to the gate perhaps but just a thought.

  6. You should always always have the neutraliser at hand when using acid, in your case baking soda. It doesn’t take much to burn your skin accidentally.

  7. Beautiful garden it's going to be. Beautiful new lights much better than the bolls
It will be Beautiful with the plants in the garden and something done at the rusty roofs above the lamps at the entree. Beautiful work from you all.❤❤❤

  8. You will need 2 full-time gardeners once everything is finished Terry and Ash. It will be impossible for 1 person to manage.
