Jon goes back to the safe house and makes some delicious vegan brownies with Indy.
These are the best vegan brownies!!

1/4 cup Earth Balance Buttery Spread (room temp)
1/4 cup Earth Balance Shortening
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup silken tofu
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup almond milk
1 tbsp peanut butter
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2/3 cup flour
1/4 cup agave nectar

1. Pre- heat oven to 350 degrees.
2. In mixing bowl, add room temperature buttery spread and shortening and mix it together with a fork. Add sugar, baking powder, sea salt, cocoa powder and tofu. Mix it all together. Add vanilla extract, almond milk, agave nectar and peanut butter. Mix well. Add flour and stir in chocolate chips.
3. Line 8×8 glassware dish with parchment paper and pour in brownie batter. Spread out evenly and bake in oven for 40 to 45 min at 350 degrees. When you can put a toothpick in brownies and it comes out clean, it is done

  1. I know you guys cook from scratch but do you know how to veganize a boxed brownie mix that is accidentally vegan?? It calls for an egg, water, and oil. I went through 5 boxes and turned out so bad!! I threw out my Ener-g egg replacer thinking it was re problem but was not so now i have to substitute that too :/. Please get back thanks!!

  4. I wonder if I can use soft tofu instead of silken? I couldn't find any silken tofu 🙁 Guess I will have to try it and find out.

  8. This recipe is unbelievably delicious.  However, I omitted half the fat and only used four tbsp EB shortening.  I also omitted 1/4 of the sugar and it still seemed too much.  I have to do this with all of my recipes because I have a sensitivity to fat and  sugar.  It still turned out great.

  9. Can I omit the peanut butter? Or will it make a difference? (peanut allergy :/)
