Can Mina and Karen Renovate a House Destroyed by a CAR? | Good Bones | HGTV

Mina and Karen take a stab at redeveloping a house that was hit by a car in the Old Southside neighborhood. After some fun demo with a giant water hose, they design their new house with a simple, urban and classic aesthetic. They also create textile artwork to bring into the house, as well as floating side tables made from antique corbels.

Unstoppable mother-daughter duo Karen E Laine and Mina Starsiak transform rundown houses into stunning urban remodels in Indianapolis. See this dynamic team in action as they revitalize their hometown one property at a time.

  2. I don't like that this clip didn't include any of the backstory. Why give it such an interesting title when you're not going to include any of the story? ????

  3. While this house is beautifully done, did anyone else find it weird that Mina mentioned using the two bedrooms as guest rooms or an office rather than their baby's room?? ????

Personally, I would have considered putting in an eat-in area toward the back of the kitchen where the extra cabinets were added. The dining area was really, really cramped. Either that, or maybe even have a table that extends that can be slid out of the way when not in use. It would get old to walk around those chairs 100 times a day.

The place is gorgeous though – fresh, bright, airy, homey, and neutral. They save every house they renovate, which actually serves the whole neighborhood. ????

  4. !!!WARNING!!!WARNING!!!WARNING!!!

Don't let this show fool ya, worked w/ these ladies for years early on and they are full of it. They don't like paying contractors and are making a mint rehabbing downtown Indianapolis, all the while screwing over the community by selling dreams built w/ subpar materials and finishes.

Hiring these ladies or purchasing one of their properties w their practices and lack of principles is a risk 100% do your homework.

  5. So what is that red brick building that looks like it's less than a foot away from the house?

  6. This is one of the better houses they’ve done, and whoever bought it got a great deal
