✅Ingredients

• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 2 teaspoons paprika
• 2 teaspoons dried oregano
• 2 teaspoons dried rosemary, minced
• 2 teaspoons salt
• 1 teaspoon dried thyme
• 1 teaspoon black pepper
• 1 teaspoon onion powder
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 3 to 8 pound turkey breast (boneless or bone-in)

✅Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place turkey breast skin side up on the rack of a roasting pan, or into a lightly greased 9×13 pan.

2️⃣ In a small bowl, stir together olive oil paprika, oregano, rosemary, salt, thyme, black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder to form a paste.

3️⃣ Loosen the skin with your finger and spoon some of the spice mixture underneath the skin. Smooth it out to cover as much of the meat as possible. Rub the remaining spice mixture on top of the turkey breast skin.

4️⃣ Roast in the preheated oven for approx. 20 minutes per pound, until the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Measure the temperature in the center of the thickest part of the breast. Actual cooking time will depend on the size of your turkey breast. Boneless turkey breasts will cook faster. Use a meat thermometer for accuracy.

5️⃣ Remove from the oven and cover loosely with aluminum foil. Let rest for 15 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Then slice and serve.

Transform a piquant herb into a creamy, sweet paste by oven-roasting garlic with the help of these tips.

Step 1: Pick the garlic
Buy whole garlic bulbs from your local grocer or specialty market. Choose fresh, white bulbs and avoid those with mold or mildew.

Tip
Don’t use garlic with a green sprout growing from the center of the cloves.

Step 2: Prepare the garlic
Remove the loose, papery skin, but leave the rest intact. Cut a half-inch from the pointed head, exposing the individual cloves.

Step 3: Drizzle with oil
Drizzle the cloves with olive oil, ensuring that each one is sufficiently coated. Sprinkle them with salt and pepper.

Step 4: Roast the heads
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Wrap each bulb in aluminum foil and bake for about 45 minutes or until the cloves are soft and golden brown.

Tip
Use a clay garlic roaster if you have one.

Step 5: Remove the softened garlic
Let the garlic cool, and then use a small knife to loosen the skin around each clove. Remove a clove, and squeeze it to remove the softened garlic.

Step 6: Eat the garlic
Spread the roasted garlic paste directly onto hearty French bread or mix it into your favorite spread or pasta. Delicious!

Bandaging an injured elbow is simply logical: if you physically compress the area, it won’t be able to swell as it might if left to its own devices. It’s also a pretty simple process.

Step 1: Place bandage & secure
Place the tail end of the bandage on the inside of the arm, just below the elbow, and wrap it around the arm twice to secure the bandage. You want it tight enough to apply pressure but to not cut off circulation.

Tip
Have the victim bend the elbow slightly if they can do so without causing further pain or injury. This positioning will make the bandaging easier.

Step 2: Wrap upward
Wrap upward, winding the bandage diagonally from the elbow toward the bicep.

Step 3: Wrap figure eight
When you reach the elbow, wrap a figure-eight pattern around the elbow so the X, or middle, of the figure eight is on the inside of your elbow, then continue upward.

Step 4: Finish bandage
When you reach the bicep, finish the bandage by completing two turns directly over one another, just like at the beginning, without moving the position of the bandage.

Step 5: Use binding clips
Use the binding clips found in the bandage packaging—or apply a strip of adhesive tape—to keep the bandage in place.

Tip
Avoid anything that might increase swelling in the first 48 hours after an injury, like a hot shower or drinking alcohol.

Step 6: Check circulation
Check for circulation by squeezing the tip one of the fingers on the injured arm and see how long it takes for color to come back to the fingertip. If it takes longer than 3 seconds, unravel the bandage and redo it a little looser this time.

Add this upright row exercise to your shoulder workout!

Grasp a dumbbell in each hand with a pronated (palms forward) grip that is slightly less than shoulder width. The dumbbells should be resting on top of your thighs. Your arms should be extended with a slight bend at the elbows and your back should be straight. This will be your starting position.
Use your side shoulders to lift the dumbbells as you exhale. The dumbbells should be close to the body as you move it up and the elbows should drive the motion. Continue to lift them until they nearly touch your chin. Tip: Your elbows should drive the motion. As you lift the dumbbells, your elbows should always be higher than your forearms. Also, keep your torso stationary and pause for a second at the top of the movement.
Lower the dumbbells back down slowly to the starting position. Inhale as you perform this portion of the movement.
Repeat for the recommended amount of repetitions.
Caution: Be very careful with how much weight you use in this exercise. Too much weight leads to bad form, which in turn can cause shoulder injury. I’ve seen this too many times so please no jerking, swinging and cheating. Also, if you suffer from shoulder problems, you may want to stay away from upright rows and substitute by some form of lateral raises.

Variations: This exercise can also be performed using a straight bar attached to a low pulley and it can also be performed using an e-z bar.

Step 1: Wash and dry
Wash glass jars in hot, soapy water and let them air dry.

Step 2: Make templates
Cut templates out of poster board in decorative shapes such as stars, half-moons, or hearts. Or buy ready-made templates from craft stores.

Step 3: Cut out shapes
Use the templates to outline the shapes on the nonsticky side of removable adhesive paper, and then cut them out.

Step 4: Decorate the jars
Stick your designs onto the outside of the jars.

Step 5: Spray them
Coat the outside of the jars evenly with glass-frosting spray. Let them dry completely. Then, remove the adhesive-paper designs.

Step 6: Add candles
Put a votive candle or tea light inside each jar.

Tip
Nestle the candle in sand or sea salt to keep it stationary.

Step 7: Measure wire for handle
To make hanging lanterns, take a piece of strong wire and measure how much you need for a handle by wrapping the wire around the mouth of the jar, looping it over the top of the jar, and bringing it back down to the mouth of the jar. Clip with wire cutters. Create a small, open-ended loop on each end of the wire with pliers.

Tip
Wire hangers work just fine.

Step 8: Make the handle
Wrap one end of the wire around the jar’s mouth, securing it by slipping the loop around the wire and tightening it with pliers. Take the free end of wire, and bend it into an inverted U to make a handle. Secure the end by wrapping the other loop around the wire at the jar opening.

Ingredients for this Recipe:

For the Rub:

• 3 tablespoons sea salt
• 2 tablespoons black pepper
• 2 tablespoon garlic granules
• 2 tablespoon onion granules
• 2 tablespoons paprika
• 2 tablespoons cumin

For the Spritzer and Sauce:

• 1 cup apple juice
• 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
• 1/2 cup water

For the Ribs:

• 6-9 ounce pork shoulder or pork butt, fat trimmed
• 4 tablespoons of yellow or Dijon mustard

Serves: 20

Prep Time: 1 hour

Cook Time: 8 hours

Resting Time: 45 minutes

Procedures:

1. Preheat the smoker to 250°. Place a drip pan filled with water under the grill grates.
2. Rub: Combine all of the ingredients and set aside.
3. Spritzer: Add the apple juice, cider and water to a spray bottle and shake. Set aside.
4. Rub the mustard on every side of the pork shoulder creating a thin layer.
5. Next, generously season the pork shoulder on all sides with the rub.
6. Add the pork shoulder to the smoker over top of the drip pan filled with water and smoke for 3 hours.
7. Next, spray the ribs with 15-20 sprays of the spritzer. Repeat this process for the next 3 hours every hour with the same amount of spritzes.
8. Once the pork reaches an internal temperature of in between 165° and 170° or the top part of the fat on the bark has split, about 6-7 hours, remove the pork from the smoker.
9. Place the pork shoulder on a large sheet of double foil, generously spritz it and wrap it extremely tight by folding over and covering up the pork shoulder.
10. Place the pork shoulder back on the smoker bone side up and cook until it reaches an internal temperature of 200° to 205°, about 2-4 hours.
11. Remove the pork shoulder from the smoker and let rest in the foil for 30-60 minutes before removing the bone, large chunks of fat, and pulling it using forks, cloves or tongs.
12. Serve pork shoulder with BBQ sauce on the side or on a sandwich.

CHEF NOTES AND TIPS:

• I am using a pellet smoker for this recipe, however, please feel free to use a regular charcoal grill or even a digital smoker to create this recipe.
• Be sure to double wrap the pork because a lot of juices will be trying to come out of it while smoking.

Lie down on the floor placing your feet either under something that will not move or by having a partner hold them. Your legs should be bent at the knees.
Elevate your upper body so that it creates an imaginary V-shape with your thighs. Your arms should be fully extended in front of you perpendicular to your torso and with the hands clasped. This is the starting position.
Twist your torso to the right side until your arms are parallel with the floor while breathing out.
Hold the contraction for a second and move back to the starting position while breathing out. Now move to the opposite side performing the same techniques you applied to the right side.
Repeat for the recommended amount of repetitions.
Variation: As you get more advanced, you can hold a weight with both arms for resistance.
