1. Protein Reduces Appetite And Hunger Levels.
You might notice that as you try to lose weight, your body suddenly just craves more food and you just constantly want to eat. Funny how that happens, are we right? Well, we might just have the perfect remedy for that– protein.

2. Increase Muscle Mass And Strength.
We talked briefly about gaining muscle in the intro, but we’d like to dive a little more into depth about it if we could. This fact isn’t just universally accepted, it’s universally accepted BECAUSE it’s backed by science. Scientific outlets have done numerous studies linking protein to muscle gain. Similar studies have found that even during weight loss protein can make sure you don’t lose any of those precious, precious gains.

3. It’s Good For Your Bones.
Mr. T should’ve talked about protein as well as milk when he said: “it’s good for your bones.” Because, as a matter of fact, protein is great for your bones.

4. Reduces Cravings.
One of the worst parts of trying to lose weight is the cravings. You feel like the bad guys are constantly swarming around your head– fast food, easy microwavable dinners, sodas– oh god get them out of our minds! Ahem… sorry. Moving on.

5. Boost Metabolism, Helps You Burn Fat Faster.
As if protein wasn’t already great for weight loss, now we get this piece of information.

It is happening! Today’s video is a bit of an orientation, a warm welcome, and an official kick-off. We will begin with a few easy group breaths to enjoy, and recognize that if all you do is arrive here to breathe, you are winning, golden, exactly where you are meant to be.

You can consider this a practice day for your upcoming practices if you like.

Work with what you have, but in this video, I make some suggestions on some optional things you might like to bring to class each day, along with an invitation to help guide you as you embark on this unique journey.

Check-in with your willingness to be present, and remember for this to take off – you have to show up.

If this cross-legged position is not doable for you, you can use blankets, blocks, or pillows to sit up on. You can also come into a chair, or on the edge of your couch when we take this shape. That is a great way to modify and possibly a better spot for you to tune in, work with the breath technique, and warm up before we get moving into other shapes each day.

Finally, set an intention. Be brave and ask WHY? Why are you here? What do you think pulled you here? And if you don’t know, that is okay, we will likely uncover that together. (How exciting!)

And right now, we’re going to show you the tourniquet vanish, or commonly known as the French drop vanish, which is one of the oldest coin vanishes in print. Let’s actually take a look at it here. I’m going to take coin, and we’ll make it vanish. Like that.

The book version tends to teach it like this. The version that I personally prefer, looks like this, where the coin is twisted and vanished. Both have their place. If you’re beginner, I personally would recommend just learning the book version, where you reach in with your thumb, and you’re grabbing the coin. As you grab the coin, the coin drops. At the same time, your right hand turns over, concealing the coin from view. You can then crush your hand and turn it over, then show that the coin has vanished. And then you can pull it out of someone’s ear, or you could pull it out from behind your leg, whichever reappearance of the coin that you prefer.

So once again, your hand comes over. As your fingers go through, the coin is dropped. The coin is then shown to appear in this hand, just by keeping your hand natural. This is not natural. This is natural. If you were to grab a coin normally, you’d just take the coin like that. So try and mimic normal actions, by taking the coin, giving it a little blow, and making it vanish.

A subtlety to the French drop vanish is where you twist the coin right before you drop it into your right hand. This was taught to me by a magician, John Blake, where you take your pointer finger and you swivel the coin, once again right before you drop it. And would be a retention of the eye for the spectators, those who are watching you do this trick. Watch. Just give a little twist. A little blow. The coin vanishes.

3 1/2 lbs. boneless/skinless chicken breasts
4 limes, juiced (approx. 1/4 cup)
2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp sea salt

1 cup chopped fresh cilantro

ROASTED SWEET POTATOES

6 medium sweet potatoes, diced into cubes
3 tbsp coconut oil, melted
3 tbsp raw honey
1 tsp sea salt
2 tsp ground cinnamon

SAUTEED BROCCOLI

8 cups broccoli florets
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp black pepper

RECIPE:
4 eggs
1 cup frozen cauliflower rice
1 cup cheddar cheese
3 sausage links
2 burrito wraps(i used siete brand)
Sour cream( i used forager brand)
Salsa( i used frontera double roasted)

First prepare all the ingredients:
Cook the frozen cauliflower rice in a pan with salt and pepper until warmed through, about 7 minutes. Whisk the ggs season with salt and pepper, and scramble them in a pan. Grate the cheddar cheese and cook the sausage then chop it up.

Make the burrito:
Warm the burrito wrap in a large pan until soft and pliable, about 30 seconds per side. Add some cauliflower rice towards the edge and top with eggs, chopped sausage, some cheese, and sour cream. Fold the burrito and then make the second one.

Preheat a pan over medium heat with 2 teaspoons of oil and a pinch of salt. Place both burritos seam side down and cook until golden brown, about 3 minutes. Flip and cook another 2-3 minutes. Remove and put a layer of grated cheese in the pan, the same size as the burrito, and then put the burritos back in. Allow to cook until the edges get golden brown, about 3 minutes. Use a spatula to carefully remove the burritos and put them on a plate cheese side. Let cool for a few minutes then enjoy!

Who doesn’t want a nice brilliant smile? Getting braces can fix bigger problems that could affect you later in life too, like jaw alignment. In short, what braces do is apply pressure to the teeth to encourage them to move into the correct position inside the mouth.

Each tooth has a name, and charts of the correct position of each tooth are found all over the dentist’s and orthodontist’s office. Most of us have a slight or significant underbite or overbite. This is due to jaw misalignment, and braces will fix that! But how does all that metal in your mouth really work? And why might someone need braces?

– Most orthodontic patients are in their early teens, but nowadays it’s not uncommon for adults to get braces too.
– If crooked teeth run in your family, you might have crooked teeth too. If you sucked your thumb or pacifier a lot as a baby, this can affect how your baby teeth grow in.
– An expander will stretch the bone and cartilage of the hard palate before it stops growing. It prevents teeth from crowding, and preps the mouth to have room for your braces.
– Most people will feel the pressure on the back molars and will feel some discomfort in their teeth, perhaps behind their nose and eyes, or in their temples. But this tenderness will go away eventually.
– Braces may look simple, but they’re actually made up of a few different parts that all work together: bonding material, the bracket, arch wire, ligature elastics, spacers, and orthodontic bands.
– That wire that connects your brackets plays a key role in moving your teeth; wire doesn’t generally like to bend, but heat from your mouth makes the wire more flexible.
– Your teeth are bones, and you’re only seeing the tips of them – the rest of them are anchored in your gums, which are soft to allow movement.
– Besides a straight smile and proper jaw alignment, braces have another benefit. They make your teeth stronger!
– Alrighty, it’s now two years later, so what does happen when your braces come off? Your orthodontist will remove any extra bands, the wire, and ligature elastics.
– Your orthodontist will probably have you brush your teeth well right there in the office, so that he or she can then try to remove any remaining bonding agent from your teeth.

If someone would’ve told us a long time ago that humans could travel faster than the speed of sound, we’d nod our heads in disbelief and laugh. Breaking the sound barrier was as mind-boggling as superman’s ability to defy gravity. But what if I told you that a man achieved this impossible feat more than 70 years ago? So, who is this guy? How did he manage to travel faster than the speed of sound?

Future legend, Charles “Chuck” Yeager, was born in 1923. When he graduated from school, he enrolled in the Army Air Corps. He was great with coordination, and he could carry out almost any task without any difficulty. In March of 1943, he finally got his wings to fly away. Within a year he’d managed to fly more than 270 hours around Europe. In just a few years he’d be able to travel faster than the speed of sound. And, that wasn’t an easy task…

SUMMARY:
– Chuck grew up in a small town in West Virginia called Hamlin, and he was the second-born son of Susie and Albert Yeager. He had a very peaceful upbringing, and he sure enjoyed being active and curious.
– His dad owned a natural gas drilling business in Hamlin. There, Chuck developed a passion for generators, pumps and pressure regulators.
– In 1941, Chuck graduated from school; and in September of that year, he enrolled in the Army Air Corps, a choice that would change his life forever.
– He had the whole flying package, and when his training started; he took off…literally and figuratively speaking. His eyesight was 20/10 which was remarkable.
– In March of 1943, he finally got his wings to fly away. Within a year he’d managed to fly more than 270 hours around Europe.
– Scientifically speaking, the sound barrier is a sudden rise in aerodynamic force that happens when an aircraft approaches the speed of sound.
– While the world of aviation was taking off, engineers were trying to figure out a way to build airplanes that could approach the speed of sound without breaking into pieces.
– The speed of sound is Mach 1, which is equivalent to 761 miles per hour. But even at Mach 0.8 (613 mph), the shockwaves that were building up were still dangerous for the aircraft.
– The X-1 had only one mission – to break the sound barrier. So, it had to retain all its fuel in order to make the speed and travel faster than sound.
– It was on October 14th, 1947, right after 10:30 in the morning. Yeager courageously boarded the aircraft, and the mothership took off. At 20,000 feet the X-1 was released from the B-29.
– Chuck had achieved the impossible. He had broken the sound barrier, and travelled faster than the speed of sound.
– In 2012, at 89 years old, 65 years after breaking the Sound Barrier, Chuck Yeager did it again. He flew a McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle and he hit 1.3 Mach, like a true aviation champion.
