Fire-Damage THREATENS Renovation of Historic Wicker Park Triplex | Windy City Rehab | HGTV

While looking for a property in Wicker Park, designer Alison Victoria discovers what seems like a great deal on an 1885 triplex with fire damage. But even as Alison starts picking out some old Chicago pieces to mix in with the new sophisticated design, hidden structural damage from the fire starts burning up their hopes for a profit.

Interior designer Alison Victoria combines upscale design with a passion for her hometown as she buys and restores old homes in Chicago. For these neglected homes in historic neighborhoods, she works to restore dignity to the homes while adding more square footage, style and modern twists. But each house has a past, and she never knows what challenges lie hidden beneath the decades of paint and plaster. #HGTV #WindyCityRehab #Renovation

I mean, for God's sake, the front of the living room had 3 windows with a beautiful view. The window was closed and the living was narrow And I lost the beauty of the look by putting Crispin !!!!No, yet the interface for the fireplace is not available out What's all this faking What is worse is the loss of the floor for a living room when it looks the best!? I can never accept this mistake As if the antique pieces would compensate for the functional work of the interior engineering of the house!?

  2. Lol, had cracks in the exterior facade wall. That's a major turn-off for a house with that price change. They could have replastered it.

  5. Oh wow ❤ this is way better than the last units she worked on!!! This is Allison signature! This is so beautiful even as a unit it does feel old yet modern, the last time I wasn't sure if she did a good job but here it's really worth the money.
But ig the last time the units were for rent and those r for sales….ig I can understand ????

  6. Allison's partner is an idiot. He didn't do his job and they had to take an entire addition down! Holy hell! That's the worst, most expensive, mistake a contractor can make. The house came out beautifully, but Dayum!

  7. Putting in a fireplace surround when there’s not an actual fireplace is an odd choice
