I wish I could Andrew, but they do not sell blocks of cheese at my local grocery store in my country of residence. Only pre-grated stuff.
ofc if you're willing to sacrifice final quality for convenience, use grated cheese. but when quality matters or the starch would ruin the recipe, don't cut corners
I mean… yeah but pre-shredded is more convenient and suits most purposes
