I know you have trained for flat nails before, but I think people need to know how to do it again

I have the opposite problem.. my nails have a really pronounced C curve. Combine that with small fingers (& therefore nails), my nail tech always has trouble finding the right sized tip. I’ve tried to find a salon that does gel nails, but it’s been impossible! I call and ask and am told that, yes, they do gel nails, but when I get there, it turns out that they only use acrylic and gel polish. For some reason, gel isn’t available where I am (Annapolis, MD) ????

I just do a gel overlay cuz I’m trying to grow my natural nails and I’m at a length where I don’t want extensions anymore but need some strength. I’m building the structure anyway, I just need to use more product and build more structure, it’s not even that much more product so no big deal.

Suzie can u show how to put a tip on someone with an extremely flat nail? It never stays or the sides stay but then theres a gap between my natural nail and the tip ????

I have wonky nails…like, they are normal until I have growth. Then they have this bizarre bend. Every time I have had my nails done, the ones with that weird bend pop off! Both gel and acrylic. How do you prevent that from happening??

I have the complete opposite problem. Curved nails with deep sidewalls. I pinch the sides of my nails while applying everything and then as soon as I let go to go into the lamp, gel gets all over my skin ????

What kind of tech doesn’t know how to use product to create an arch on a nail. Like that is the words SCULPTED NAILS mean. I’m confused.

A few of mine are flat on top, grow upward, and have drastic c-curves. The sides drop off at almost a 90 degree angle. When you look down the barrel, my c-curve is almost squared, if that makes sense. I’m really struggling with them because I like to use full tips and don’t really sculpt since I don’t use acrylic anymore. ????

Thank you for making that video I hear that a lot too … it kinda scares me that you had to do it at all tho ????????

The hardest part with flat nails are getting the nail form to fit properly under the free edge. The building up part is not hard

And here I am noticing how arched my natural nails are having started doing my own poly gel and gel nails. ???? I keep surprising myself how ‘curved’ they are. I hadn’t noticed until recently!

Hello Suzie..totally flat is rare. I tried acrylics for the 1st time. Watched your video as I was doing 2 before. Once a whole time through before I started. Once when I 1st started following you..a few years now..TOTAL FAIL! I stopped at 1 nail. Glad I did to as it took a whole day to file it. That was using a very good e-file too. ???? ????????♀ Never again! Weighed 1/2 lb (felt like it) My guess id the acrylic dried quickly and it must have been 3/8 th of an inch. Have a great day! On the Menu is A different powder color on each finger w/a black, maybe gold or silver smile line. ????
