We replaced the flooring in a bedroom of our house which made our old transition not work. We bought premade oak threshold that you can find in any home supply store and modified it to work for us. Let me know your thoughts and thanks for watching.

They make a transition for this case.
hands up those of you that have a table saw at home.
Nice way to solve the height gap, but i would have put back the old transition on it since there is now a gap in between which collects dirt and dubris.????
work around that door stop on the jamb… I would have also overlapped the tile for a better finish
Easier to buy transitions that go with the flooring no?
Or but a 4 in 1 transition that matches and you're good ????
Vinyl reducer from floor n decor cost $30.00 that’s all you need.
Hey bud, I picked up some vinyl flooring too! I've noticed mine picks up scratches VERY easily. I'm wondering if that's just how vinyl planks work or if I picked up a cheap brand. I used a brand called Nexus Planks. Have you noticed the same with your peel and stick vinyl flooring?
That's not right. Sloppy
a piece of 2' oak would have been cheaper especially since you have the tools to rout and finish the edge.
What about buying a reducer?
Yeah because I just have a table saw laying around ????
Should have stained it but correct
Transition pieces are for animals. The wood doesn't match. God bless and I love you
And grout it.
You could just buy a reducer
i wouldn't destroy the old transition i would store it away for later use or give it way.
So you nailed through the floating floor or is it glue down?
if only i was workin on the same house i had my entire workshop set up in
That transition looks horrible
Z-plates, angled threshold plates, ridged threshold plates, there’s a lot products out there that have this covered, I guess this custom way is good also as you get the finish you want.
Ya now you out nails right through the transition and plank and now have voided you’re warranty because you pinned down the floor and just gave the manufacture a loop hole not too warranty you’re floor because it now cannot contract and expand because you out nails through it. Great tip!!!
Why not just go buy the right type of transition instead of doing all of that too make one that is not even the right one too make it work. Senseless. Go buy a multipurpose reducer I’m sure when you purchased the floor they have them.
im Klartext, ihr habt es vergeigt.
Should make it a healthy habit to keep the blade and possible kickback below vitals.
you call this Custom?
hmm, could have used the step transition so it will cover up the edge of the tiles and keep it clean
Or you can buy the right transition
Use to make all my thresholds and trim pieces. From just stock oak, not premade transitions.
