Get to sleep fast with a massage technique from the ancient Chinese healing art acupressure.

Warning
If you feel pain when using acupressure, stop immediately. Pregnant women should not use acupressure.

Step 1: Find the right spot
Locate the Spirit Gate acupressure point. It’s on the inside of the wrist crease, just to the inside of the tendon on the pinky finger side.

Tip
Manipulating Spirit Gate is believed to increase production of melatonin, a hormone produced by the pineal gland that helps control sleep cycles.

Step 2: Massage it
Gently press and knead the point for one minute. Switch hands and repeat.

Step 3: Ease pain
To ease pain-induced insomnia, press your index fingers against the bottom of your skull, with your left finger about a half-inch to the left of your spine, and right finger a half-inch to the right of your spine. Hold for 30 seconds to a minute.

Step 4: Sleep soundly
Have sweet dreams!

  1. YES YES YES YES YES im so young and lost so much memory bc of insomnia i had insomnia for over like 2 or 1 and a half years now and thanks so much to these methods GOD BLESSED ME yes queen

  2. I've tried many acupressure points to cure a hard time falling asleep, but I finally found the one which works for me: it's called H7, or heart 7. I press H7 on the wrist crease of each hand for about 1-1/2 minutes just before I'm ready to fall asleep. I now can fall asleep on average in about 10 minutes, where it used to take up upward of 2 hours. And it's still working after 6 months! However, note that for me, it's great for falling asleep, but not as effective for staying asleep all night.

  3. Im going to test this tonight. I am a chronic insomniac. I have slept 3-4 hours a night on average most nights for the past 3 years. Sometimes I’m lucky and I might get 6, but it’s more likely I will have a really bad night and only get 1 or 2. I’m tired all day, so I’m going to try this. Will let you know if it’s effective in the morning!
