  1. A trim router with a half inch bit, trim router with quarter-inch today, make your own. I just built both my grandson's loft beds, and save thousands of dollars.

  2. Grizzly is a pretty decent brand and they offer the Grizzly PRO T32540 – Dual Spindle Doweling Joiner for only $99! The downside is you only get 5/16" (8mm) diameter dowels and nothing larger.

  3. Hi ???? man ???? I think ???? you are Hip ???? thrusting 2 many times unsuitable for young people and it is not until you get to our age that you can get the domino affect, And you have to save up your years of pennies, To be able to afford your hip thrusting domino effect ????, Just don’t tell your partner, I must admit that it is cheaper than a facelift ????, Great tutorial on how to improve your Thrusting , I think it’s called the knock-on effect, ???? . DDDOOOMMMIIINNNOOO , PHIL FROM THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOULIN FRANCE, ????

  4. I knew the hip thrusts technique would be shown when I saw the title to this video ????????????

  5. I can't afford a Porsche 911 Turbo S, but that doesn't mean I bitch about other people driving one. Luckily I can afford a Domino and have had one for 15+ years and never regretted buying it. I'm so tired of people bitching about the Domino. If you feel like doing everything with handtools in candle light, kudos to you.

  6. This is bullshit woodworking using a domino. Should be banned by YouTubers. Makes it far to easy, any 'ol hacker can use one. Best you be donating these two bad boys over my way dude…….

  7. I have been doing the same with a plunge router and a homemade jig to make the slots and make my own domino's to fit

  8. Should you spend money on a domino NO or a kreg jig….. LEARN TO DO CORRECT JOINERY

  9. I went to order the sponsored device for my wife's birthday. Their website shows it discounted from $447 to $349 (or a 1/3 of a Domino 500). However, if I enter the code BOURBON20 it says it is invalid. When I chatted with live chat they told me if already discounted, additonal discounts cannot be combined. Jason is getting hosed on affiliate link with this product. Sorry man.

  10. Great vid, like you say though its not for the average diy person and yes there are cheaper alternatives like the triton but that comes with a whole host of problems which include off centre holes which means they dont always line up

  11. Me: Patiently waiting for the Harbor Freight version made of 80% more plastic.

  12. Was looking forward to you talking about the patent getting out of date soon and other brands being able to build domino machines soon. At least from what I've heard from other YouTubers. Would be interesting to know when this will happen.

  13. Arguably by far a better purchase to a Festool's Domino Jointer is a Panto Router. About 200 bucks cheaper if you already have a compatible router. If not then approximately the same cost for way more functionality. Its even possible to source and build your own since its mostly aluminum extrusions and bearings.

Obvious alternatives are dowl jigs and domino jigs for routers and drill. They can be purchased or better yet 3D printed.

  14. Great video! You can always use the Triton Dowelling Jointer to drill the holes initially, and then increase the depth with a drill. This allows you to increase the depth equal to or deeper than the Festool Domino. ☺️
