  6. This is a good dish, but I only eat my fresh tomatoes as just their own side dish, so delicious with just a little salt on them, and I also refrigerate my tomatoes for about 1 hour, before serving, I think they taste better cold…

  7. When I was growing up, my family had a yearly garden that was an acre big. I remember the hard work, sweat and tears but loved the fresh vegetables and still do.

    I made a tomato casserole that tasted just like a deep dish pizza! Layer fresh tomato slices in buttered casserole. Salt n pepper. Sprinkle green onion slices, fresh basil. Sprinkle with Italian salad croutons, (homemade croutons are the best), . Dot with butter. Sprinkle with parmesan, cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers. Bake about 30-45" minutes.

  16. I’ve made something similar but instead of sliced tomatoes I used Rotel tomatoes with chiles.
